The Monument Hotel in Barcelona is an exceptional accommodation that seamlessly blends historic architecture with modern amenities. This was our second stay at this beautiful property, and I was once again blown away by the level of hospitality and attention to detail. The hotel's location is perfect, allowing you to easily walk to all the top attractions, restaurants, and wine bars in the city. The concierge, Xavi, is a true gem. He listened intently to our personal preferences and provided fantastic recommendations, including a wonderful nail salon when I was in need of a manicure. Xavi's restaurant and wine bar suggestions were spot on - we enjoyed some of the best local cuisine and wine during our stay, and have saved those recommendations for future visits. The hotel itself is stunning, with a beautiful historic facade complemented by modern, well-appointed guest rooms and common areas. The amenities are top-notch, ensuring a safe, comfortable and convenient stay. From the luxurious bedding to the high-end toiletries, every aspect of the guest experience is carefully considered. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona, whether it's your first or fifth time in the city. We look forward to returning again soon.

Excellent location, in a beautiful residential neighborhood, with easy access to a large shopping center and all amenities within walking distance. The reception staff was very friendly, especially Pol and Alba, who helped us with all our needs. The Junior Suite is very comfortable, with high-quality beds and mattresses, and the dining and living area are excellent. The hotel has a small gym, which was sufficient for us, a spa (only some rooms have access), and a beautiful outdoor pool. We had an issue with the city tax being doubled (we paid it through the app and the hotel also charged us), which was resolved. And small

This villa was just awesome to chill and relax at for a couple of days. Bali is so convenient now with GOJEK. We had a breakfast plan. While the villa is catered more for locals and the breakfast spread was just ok, the price we paid for this villa was so worth it. We lounged by the pool, napped, went for spas (which were super affordable!) and GOJEK food in for dinner. It was also pretty near the airport, and anywhere else, you could just access via booking a car.

Hotel is in great location, next to Main Street. Staff is friendly and efficient. Room very comfortable and in full working order . Bath was quite dangerous as you need to climb up. Spoke to front desk and they supplied a disposable bath mat. Much appreciated . Great breakfast, limited variety but fantastic quality Negative: for several days, I was saving coins to use at the automatic laundry nearby. On the second day, we left about 12 Euro in various coins on the desk. In the evening upon our return the money had disappeared. We spoke to reception and they told us they had to speak to a manager, however in the meantime we should search our room . The next morning , we were leaving , we emptied the room and found nothing . Nobody from the hotel got back to us. I blame myself for no locking the coins, but thought this is a 5 star so should be safe . This is the reason service got a low score.

The check in experience was so horrible. After I presented my passport to the receptionists (3 guys) in hotel front desk, they kept requesting me to show the boarding pass of my cancelled flight. If i could not show it, they don’t allow me to check in. I argued with them why I have to show my boarding pass and how can I have boarding pass if my flight is cancelled. They insisted I have to show, otherwise I could not check in. Their attitudes were so rude and I spent almost 40 min to show all documents I have on-hand, then they gave me my room key. The room assigned to me is not so comfortable because it is on ground floor without window facing outside streets. I don’t think it is tourist friendly at all.

I had a beautiful stay. I had been staying and loving the SLS Hotel in Miami and therefore wanted to try this new one in Barcelona. It looks very luxurious and the room I had was very spacious and just beautiful and well thought over all. The only thing that wasn’t super ideal for someone who loves walking a lot is the location. It was great, next to the beach and also really great amenities however getting to the city one would always have to take an Uber since it’s quite far away from it. At some point I started riding the bicycle and that was great as well but it just needs to be considered. Also you should not sleep with the doors to the balcony opened. They do warn about it at the hotel and for a reason. There are truly a lot of mosquitoes and just after one night leaving the door opened I was completely covered with mosquito bites. Also if possible ask for rooms farther away from the pool as that is where most of the mosquitoes will be. I got moved to a new room so the service is amazing.

As a designer of hotel interiors who spends most of my life staying in hotels, I’ve experienced my fair share of accommodations, and this one certainly had room for improvement. It’s hard to believe that, in this day and age, getting a simple cup of coffee for breakfast can be so difficult. I was told I could only enter the restaurant if I was having breakfast, but when I explained that I don’t eat breakfast and just wanted to sit, catch up on emails, and have a coffee, I was told no and offered a takeaway paper cup instead, like some sort of sub par citzen, not worthy of a seat at the table unless I was willing to eat there. I was told I could have gone to the empty hotel bar and sat in an armchair, hunched over my laptop, waiting until the bar opened at 9 am. I complained to the front desk staff, who listened attentively to my experience, but mid-sentence, they walked off to assist a guest with a faulty key card. So, not only was I desperate for coffee, but I also felt completely invisible. On top of that, the hairdryer stopped working almost immediately, and the gym was small and poorly lit. That said, there were some positives. The wardrobe had plenty of hangers (which is a personal pet peeve of mine, so I’m grateful for that). However, the window cutout was a real disappointment. Instead of a beautiful, wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling window that would have made the most of the view, we got a strange, aggressive-looking cut-out that blocked the view and didn’t align with the room’s style at all. Choose a room away from the lifts as they are noisy and busy. Overall, there’s potential here, but improvements are definitely needed. Certainly not what I expected from a 4 star Marriot brand.

The hotel is in a great area close to the city centre and shopping Square and also close to the Metro and bus lines. The staff are very nice and amenities are good. As a female solo traveller I felt very safe in this hotel especially because it’s a LGBTQ+ but hetero friendly hotel. The beds are comfortable just be aware that the shower is see-through so if you’re sharing you will likely see the person taking a shower. The pool was also very nice for chilling in after a very long day of exploring. Just be careful of removing anything in the minibar. I removed some of the things and placed them on the table because I wanted to use the fridge to put my food and drinks that I bought myself . I unfortunately almost got charged for the things that I removed from the mini bar fridge even though I hadn’t consumed them. I did however explain to the receptionist that I returned all the drinks in the mini bar as I hadn’t consumed them.Overall I really enjoyed staying in this hotel and will definitely stay here again.
