Premier Inn Southampton City Centre (West Quay)

Check-in was swift due to a Member of Staff helping us out. Evening Meal was great, good selection, arrived quickly and hot, staff were fabulous. Room was as expected, bed was comfy and pillows luvly. Breakfast was as usual for a Premier Inn, lots and hot. Only two little quibbles, We parked in the BIG multi storey carpark next door and struggled to find the Hotel, perhaps a sign might be in order. The Fan in our Bathroom ran all night which was a bit distracting. Overall a very good experience.

Fantastic new plus rooms , the refit is really nice and so much brighter! The new pre plus rooms are a great bit of luxury which was very nice . Staff friendly and helpful , breakfast was really nice ! Little thing to improve would be blinds in the restaurant as the morning sun is very blinding

Cold rooms, fan heating very mediocre never warmed up, shower looked new but was leaking everywhere so no power on the water flow. Only 1 towel in the bathroom despite being 2 of us, requested another and it never turned up. Auto check in didn't work, ask at the bar to check us in and they gave me a disabled room despite not being disabled or showing any disability.

Very convenient hotel for the cruise port. Shopping and restaurants. Staff friendly, helpful, and efficient. Didn't use the restaurant, but it was busy. Breakfasts looked amazing. The social ( bar) had lovely decor and relaxed atmosphere. Rooms as expected from a premier. Black oil marks on carpet which reflected I review but on the whole a great stay

Upon checking in I was greeted with a self service machine and staff that refused to check me in themselves, I encountered some issues with the self checkout machine and the staff half heartedly helped but walked away before the process was complete and I had to call them back over again to finish. Upon entering the room I was placed at the front of the hotel and the traffic noise was very heavy and I could hear it in the room despite the windows being closed. I went back to reception to ask to move rooms and was told no, I asked for earplugs and again was just told no. The staff did not care that I was in a noisy room, had no interest in helping me to resolve the problem.

We stayed at the West Quay hotel for four days and loved it. We were checked in quickly and given a room on the first floor. The room was very clean and spacious & had everything we needed. The on site restaurant and bar “the Social” was good and open throughout the day. Good value deals and the lunch time deal in particular was well worth it. Housekeeping were good and serviced our room on day 3 as requested. A big thanks to them all as they do a great job. Handy to know that you can simply go and pick up an iron and ironing board from the reception area without bugging a member of staff for it.
