Glebe Farm has rooms inside the main house and a Shepherd's Hut up the drive and into the field across from the fence from the sheep, but near enough to the chicken coup that they were greatly entertained by our presence. The house is beautiful, the gardens wonderful to walk (a small pond is there) and the very small village has an ancient medieval church built in 1316. The hut itself is small, rustic, quiet and if one seeks a simple escape for romance, it is near perfect. It is self-catering, but the owners left us some beer, prosecco, and granola besides the normal coffee, tea and milk. The bath is small, but has an adequate shower. The bed is super comfy and a bit high, so we used the step stool to ascend. Tips: you will have to take your baggage from the car up the drive and across a small stretch of grass to the hut, but watch the chicken poo. The hot water is not very hot and needs to run continuously otherwise the water turns cold - for the kitchen sink and for the shower. We thoroughly enjoyed the nights we spent there and used the days to see TorCross and to take the Gara Rock walkabout into Salcombe and back. It was a wonderful holiday.
