Not recommended Did not see any staff all weekend, key left in front porch with a note on arrival. Place felt ambandoned and un safe, had it not been height of summer season would have looked for alternative on night of arrival. Advertised details incorrect no restaurant or food available after 5 hour drive had to go out to find food. Plates and cultery left in room with very noisy fridge next to bed, expected to wash up in basin in bathroom. Farm in the middle of nowhere so no where to get food. Down stairs cluttered with parcels at door all weekend. Lounge area dark un welcoming and full of clutter and smelt of damp. Dreadful, will think twice about booking private b&b again. One room 2 nights £260 feel totally ripped off.

On the ********** website it is advertised as a b&b so were extremely surprised it was bed only. As it was room only this should have been made clear at the time of the booking.They did not appear to realise we were arriving so no key was left,had to find someone. We were shown to our room upstairs down a badly lit corridor. We seemed a bit of an inconvenience . If they were expecting us they should have turned on the fridge. There was a carton of milk still in the fridge that had gone off . We were told where we could get breakfast in the morning and no mention where the restaurant/bar was though I expect it was shut.We left the next morning as it was such a disappointment . We would not recommend this as a place to stay. Instead of staying 3 nights we left the next day. They probably did not know we had left.

We can say that the bathroom was really clean, other than that we cannot be positive about anything else. The whole feeling of the property left a lot to be desired e.g.light bulbs not working, bathroom door handle loose, communal areas were uncared for and shambolic. Not a happy experience.

We have just come back from a lovely week staying at Burton Farmhouse, the accommodation was great and very comfortable, the whole experience was enhanced by the fact that this is a working farm and morning sheep chorus was lovely. Would definitely recommend.

the hoel was booked as b&b as it is advertised. Surprised that no breakfast is supplied.When we arrived no key was left and when I found someone they were surprised to see us as though we were not expected.We asked about breakfast and the host said no breakfast,that is why they have a fridge in the room. It was not turned on and inside was a carton of milk that was obviously off.They had a small bottle of washing up liquid so as to wash any crockery in the bathroom sink.when we were taken to the room it was down a dark corridor ,the host did not tell us where the light switches were. It all seemed an inconvience.We were not shown where the the resturant/bar was ,presumably they were not open.the whole place seemed unsafe.At the entrance were boxes still there next morning.We felt that we could not stay so left the next morning and found a lovely place that had breakfast for the same price.
