I arrived around 3:30 p.m. on September 13, 2024. The woman at the front desk said she wasn’t sure the room was ready, although check in time is 3:00. She left for a very long time and when she returned she said the room was ready. After checking in we dropped off our luggage and went to see friends. We didn’t return to the hotel until late and wanted to immediately go to bed. We discovered we had ½ roll of toilet paper as well as an empty roll, one bath towel, no washcloths, one hand towel, and used toiletries. In the morning I asked to speak to the manager about the state of our room. I was told he wouldn’t be in for a couple of hours. I was also told to write my name on a piece of paper and he would contact me with the contact information on file. I did so, but did not receive a call or an email. Several days later, I called, again asking to speak to the manager. The woman who answered the phone asked what I wanted and I told her at that point I wanted a full refund since the manager had not bothered to contact me. She said I would have a refund that would show up on my credit card in five days. It’s been more than five days and my card has not been refunded so I called the hotel again. I am told the manager is not there so I need to call again when he is. At this point it has become obvious to me that loyalty to the chain doesn’t mean much in Dixon. I have been a platinum member for years and have been aware that standards have been slipping, but to not even be contacted by a manager over a room that wasn’t even cleaned is a bit much. I do not advise staying at this hotel.
