We had a lovely early Autumn stay at The Cotswold Retreats Lake Pochard. The cabin and the vista is amazing. Great views during the day and really warm and cozy at night. The cabin was spotlessly clean and has a well stocked kitchen. We wanted somewhere to get away for some r&r time and The Cotswold Retreats Lake Pochard did not disappoint. Location is good for visiting all of the Cotswold attractions and there are also plenty of places to go on the doorstep. The cabin is great for fishing and there are also water-sports nearby. I would also say that the area would be good for cycling too. A 10 out of 10 experience for us. Please make sure you read the check out instructions as we forgot to strip the beds as instructed. Sorry for that but thank you for everything else and a lovely stay.

We have stayed at Lake Pochard a handful of times and they never disappoint! No matter the time of year, we always have the most beautiful and relaxing visit. The lodges have always been clean, and very well stocked with more than enough crockery, cutlery etc. The welcome packs provided are super helpful to get you up and running, complete with tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, bin liners, washing up liquid, dishwater tablets and cleaning cloths. We enjoyed the numerous board games and books available within the lodge. The amenities available within a stones throw are perfect for all ages. This visit we walked over to Cotswold Lakes Brew Co., a definite must for any beer lovers! We look forward to returning very soon!

Voor de 2e keer op rij een week verblijven in Lodge 6. Het was er weer heerlijk en het zal vast niet onze laatste keer zijn hier. De lodge is ruim en was keurig schoon bij aankomst. Door de veranda kun je heerlijk buiten zitten. De gas bbq hebben we veel gebruikt. Zelf in de 'green lane' gevist en veel vis gevangen waaronder brasem, zeelt en diverse soorten karpers. Hiervandaan zijn talloze leuke uitstapjes en wandelingen te maken. Het restaurant Waterside Kitchen Bar is een echt aanrader; niet goedkoop, maar erg lekker eten! Brigitte & Bert

Outstanding accommodation for the price. The lodge was bright, spacious and airy, the fittings and fixtures of good quality and overall a comfortable space for 6 people. Entry and exit was easy and only 30 minutes or so from Gloucester and Cheltenham. If visiting the Cirencester area again I’d definitely stay here.

Lake Pochard has become our home from home since August 2020. We go for a weeks fishing every year but lots of families/couples stay here without fishing. The lodges have all the comforts of home and Steve & his team are on hand to give helpful advice if you need it for fishing or places to visit. I have always felt safe at the lake which is now gated and accessible only to guests. Only lodge guests can fish the lake and everyone is friendly. The fish are beautiful and well looked after. Each year we get a PB and have so much fun, chilling by the lake - usually in the sun. The resident swan and his family provide entertainment and there’s plenty of other wild life here too. You can stay for weekend, mid week or week long breaks. It is best to book direct with Steve at Lake Pochard and not with another company.

Great base for touring the Cotswolds. Quiet site with large tidy lodge. Easy to get to many places then relaxed when returning back to site. Walks around local area also. Comfortable lounge area and deck with a barbecue and a view across the lake.

Wij kregen uitleg van de route er naar toe en codes voor de poort en het huisje via e-mail. Huisje is eigenlijk een luxe blokhut, er zijn 2 slaapkamers en 4 slaap plaatsen. (1x 2pers bed 2x 1 pers bed.) met 2 personen echt ruim. Bad kamer met WC en douche boven het bad. servies , handoeken ect. zijn aanwezig. TV en WiFi zijn ook aanwezig Wifi bereik is goed. Alles was netjes schoon binnen, buiten mogen de ramen wel eens worden gewassen en spinrag worden verwijdert van de kozijnen. Het bijgelegen meertje is alleen om te vissen met vergunning. In de buurt is wel veel watersport vermaak. Koelkast, vaatwasser,magnetron, oven en kookplaat(Infrarood) zijn ook standaard aanwezig. Er is geen stofzuiger aanwezig, wel een zachte bezem. Er staat op de veranda ook een gas bar-be-que van redelijke afmeting. deze mag ook worden gebruikt maar moet worden schoon gemaakt na gebruik. (Door ons niet gebruikt.) Voordeel van deze locatie is dat je alleen op het park kunt komen met codes voor de poorten. (1 Auto poort en 1 loop poortje.)

My friend and I finally got to come on ou4 holiday after having to cancel 2 years ago due to the covid lockdown and fair to say it was worth the wait! We were pleasantly surprised with the space we had and all the features the lodge offered for such an affordable price too! The Lodges are located well and an easy distance from all the activities we had booked at the cotswolds beach ans surrounding areas!

Amazing place to relax. You don’t need to fish to enjoy Lake Pochard. Lodges have two or three bedrooms with large covered deck which has a gas bbq. They are a home from home with all you need for a self catering break although there are plenty of good local pubs nearby. This is a very safe setting with code entry gates at each end; I happily sleep in the lodge whilst my husband night fishes. Steve is a great host and Keith is always on hand to give local advice.
