Hotel Marhaba Club

It was a two-day all inclusive stay, but I already miss it. Everything was perfect.

This is the easyJet of hotels. It sucks you in with a seemingly good deal, then takes off every conceivable extra to make up for it. Loads of little annoyances: - zero information in the room or check in about breakfast/dinner times, wifi etc - although the deal says "half board" this does not cover any drink at all, not even water. The waiters came up to me and took water away on several occasions. No water in room, no kettle. They even "accidentally" took a bottle of water I'd bought elsewhere. Pushing for you to buy the all-you-can-drink deal instead. - perhaps related: there were loud and violent fights in the corridors all 3 nights I was there. One night glass in the corridor from a domestic altercation, one night screaming children, one night a guy attacked a girl. I know because the corridors are so echoey that you could hear a mouse fart outside your room. - Nothing in the room. No do not disturb sign, no bag for the laundry, no fridge, no kettle, no hairdryer, AC didn't work. Cleaners came in on day 2, took my pillowcases and bath mat, opened the door to my balcony, and left. Meanwhile there were ***** on the floor. -Staff were unmotivated and patronising. I told reception that the phone in my room was broken and she just looked at me like "and?". I lost an item and staff couldn't even be bothered to look for it in their office. Every time I asked a simple question I got treated like I was clueless and naive, when I'm an experienced solo traveller of over a decade. Pros: the rooms are giant, the pool is nice and the buffet is pretty good. But all the little irritations caused a death of a thousand paper cuts and I was relieved to leave.

I’ve had a wonderful 2 weeks here at Marhaba club hotel here in Sousse. The Animation team are absolutely fantastic. All of them have made my holiday so enjoyable.

Back from a lovely 2 weeks at the Marhaba club. Check in was straight forward and reception staff very friendly and helpful. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and well kept. The pool can get a bit grubby but is cleaned every evening. Rooms are great size and generally clean however the bathroom can be a bit grubby and unkept (found glasses on the side of the bath day 1). Cleaners do come daily (any time between 8 - 4pm and some days multiple times) however not 100% sure what they do as generally just the beds were made and nothing else. We also had a day when half of the bedding was removed and we were left with no pillowcases or duvet covers. Would have been handy to have bottled water in the room as the lines at the bar could take a while. Bar staff and waiters work their socks off trying to accommodate and serve lots and lots of people. Tip them when you can. Restaurant waiters are friendly and work hard however table wars can get intense between them. They can be quiet pushy for you to sit in their section obviously wanting tips and more than happy to tip however if you choose to sit elsewhere then they can become quiet rude and make you feel uncomfortable. The pool are could do with some more sunbeds to accommodate the amount of people as after 8am you would struggle to get one. There is lots of grassy area in front of the unused building that could facilitate this. Pool bar can get quiet busy however staff work very hard to accommodate you. Sorry cant recall this waiters name but the waiter who walks around the pool bringing drinks deserves all the tips he was given. He worked very hard , some days in unbearable heat making sure we had drinks. Meal times could sometimes be a bit intense due to the amount of people in the restaurant and un supervised children throwing food around and making a mess of the serving areas. Another group of staff that deserve recognition are the animation team. They work so hard day and night making sure people are having fun and facilitating activities. Special shout out to Mino who was the most friendly and engaging guy. He went out of his way in making sure my daughter's birthday was acknowledged even when they had a busy night. Would highly recommend the 2 day Sahara trip which was booked through the easyJet rep in the lobby. Was a very long 2 days but we had the most amazing time and experienced lots of different aspects of Tunisia. Overall we had a great time and would definitely return.
