Logis Hôtel Restaurant la Vieille Auberge, Art and Gallery

Nous avons réservé à la vieille auberge grâce à une wonderbox et avons été logé dans le bâtiment voisin, Le quercy, au 3ème étage sans ascenseur. Accueil de la vieille auberge peu chaleureux, plus sympathique au Quercy. Chambre propre mais un peu vieillotte avec moquette au sol et volet roulant très bruyant et capricieux qu'Olivier, à l'accueil du Quercy, a fait son possible pour essayer de régler sans trop de succès . Grosse chaleur dans la chambre sans climatisation mais équipée d'un ventilateur. Petit déjeuner assez complet (heureusement, à 12€ par personne).

I may have lost track of all the ways the staff at this hotel went above and beyond to make our stay here so pleasant. They work hand-in-hand with a bike tour/rental company that operates out of their building. Christine the bike rental manager came to the train station and picked us up. At the end of our tour when we had to catch an early train they made up (without our asking) a packed breakfast for us to take with us. They helped get our bags upstairs. They gave us directions for ATMs, etc. When one of our friends had a bike accident they transported him from another hotel back to Souillac and made an appointment for him to see a doctor. They were amazing. As one other reviewer has noted, this is really two hotels in one. La Vielle Auberge manages the Hotel Le Quercy immediately adjoining and only separated by a courtyard. There probably shouldn't be reviews for Le Quercy anymore. Our room was in the Le Quercy and it was nice, modern, had a standard double bed plus a single that was handy for opening luggage and sorting clothes, etc. We had a terrace overlooking the pool and a unique electric awning that we could lower to shut out the sun or noise as necessary, although our pool-side room was quiet. The dinners and breakfast buffets were great (see separate review under Restaurants).

Nous avions réservé 3 nuités dans cet établissement, attiré par les avis concernant leur restaurant. Nous sommes des seniors qui choisissons des hôtels - restaurants pour profiter sur place des diners. Lors d'un appel téléphonique pour déplacer notre réservation d'une journée, nous apprenons que le restaurant sera fermé durant notre séjour. Nous demandons alors tout à fait naturellement d'annuler notre réservation, la prestation ne correspondant pas à nos souhaits. La réponse est directe : pas de remboursement. Il aurait fallut annuler 30 JOURS !!!!!!! avant notre séjour. Depuis plusieurs décennies nous organisons ce type de séjour en France. C'est la première fois que nous sommes confrontés à un tel comportement. INADMISSIBLE

Both Heidi and Karl who run the Hotel were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Heidi went out of her way by taking us to the local Police Station and acting as an interpreter due to us being robbed in Paris and needing to make a Police Report. Nothing was too much trouble for them both. The food was excellent and the beds very comfortable

Séjour presque parfait, cependant mal insonorisé et si vous faite le malheur d’oublier quelques chose, aucune chance de le récupérer, la direction vous promet des appels mais ne vous rappel que lorsque vous laisser un commentaire, pour dire qu’ils ont autre chose à faire que de s’occuper de votre objet

Superbe séjour prolongé en demi pension. Accueil trés attentif. Cuisine de très bon niveau avec des superbes produits que le chef adapte pour prendre en compte l'allergie à la lactose. Exceptionnel. Piscine trés agréable dans un jardin aux fauteuils accueillants. Souillac est central pour rayonner dans le Perigord
