Hotel Vagar

I was sceptical of an airport hotel, but this was excellent! Had just been done up, small rooms certainly but comfortable beds. It was warm, central on the island & the living/ dining area was perfect! We really enjoyed our time here! Had dinner on the first night and it was like a good home cooked meal.

The hotel is a close to the airport as you can get, you'll get a cool view of a plane takeoff or landing once in a while. That being said, it's not that easy to see from the road, only two small ground level signs, I almost missed it the first time ! As said numerous times before, the hotel isn't staffed at all times. You'll see someone for the breakfasts in the morning, housekeeping staff around midday and that's it. That being said, Someone is always available on the phone at any hour, they are very friendly and always ready to help. I travelled alone and I must admit I missed not having a front desk agent or someone to chat with. The room itself was fine, not too small, the beds were comfortable and the heating system was very effective too. I chose this hotel due to the proximity to the airport, as I had a long day and didn't want to bother driving around after landing. It's also a good spot to stay if you have a flight in the early morning. All in all, it's a simple, nice hotel.

The moment you step in the hotel (assuming you can get in) there is a musty smell. The room is small and also musty. Getting in is a problem as you need a code which you cant get unless you get in and use the self check in. Luckily there was a repair man inside so he let me in and I was able to check in and get the code. The hotel is not as near the airport as is represented. 2 minutes? Really? If you have luggage its a bit of a walk down a gravel path (which you need to find first). There is no staff to assist. Read the reviews carefully before you book.

Very nice, clean and Cousy hotel. Good breakfast. 5 Minute walk from airport (there is an internal walking path from the airport). The only problem: There is a self check in, but they don't provide you any details about it. so you have to call them by phone and ask for the entrance code, which might be problem for a tourist. The free phone near the entrance door doesn't work.

Se avete il volo la mattina presto, questa è forse l'unica soluzione per evitare rotture di scatole varie, essendo collegato all'aeroporto da una stradina che ti fa arrivare al check-in in un paio di minuti. L'hotel è semplice e le camere essenziali, ma non così trascurate... Siamo arrivati che la signora delle pulizie aveva appena finito il suo lavoro e non possiamo lamentarci. Certo, il bagno è piccolo e lo spazio per le valigie quasi inesistente. Però, come ripeto per l'ultima notte prima della partenza (o la prima in caso di arrivo la sera) resta la soluzione più comoda. Check-in automatico, da fare inserendo al computer nome, cognome e e-mail. Arriverà una mail con il codice della stanza, per cui se non avete lo smartphone sono problemi. Il wifi è presente e dunque da quel punto di vista non c'è problema.

A basic hotel with self checkin which you do in the lobby. Doesnt always work but free phone if you have trouble. Try and get a backroom that overlooks the minigolf and hills otherwise you get the car park. Only self serve basic breakfast. Rooms basic but beds comfortable enough. Only choice really near airport
