Ok I am a seasoned Premier Inn visitor however as someone else has commented this is a visit of two halves . Lovely staff and a modern refurbished clean comfortable room . BUT closing down the Beef eater is a huge error , the eating area is now a soulless grubby experience . There was one member of staff who was booking people in, waitressing and pouring drinks, she was lovely but the whole experience felt down market, dirty and shabby .The outside of this Premier inn is also very very scruffy and I felt like leaving straight away. Premier Inn what are you thinking of you have lost your way . Eating is part of the experience and I do not want to feel as if I am eating in a third world country with poor lighting and filthy carpets . I won’t be back however nice the rooms are . It would be better to shut the restaurant down as in the end this ill thought out business plan will ruin your company’s reputation.

Best experience I had a wonderful birthday Zoe made my experience very good and my meal was beautiful. She wished me a happy birthday and had a wonderful conversation with me which made my experience really enjoyable. I will definitely return.

It was a very quiet hotel and we got a really good sleep. Clean room and plenty of space for a family of four. Friendly staff at breakfast. The lady who served us Charlotte, was really friendly and helpful and went out of her way to make our breakfast a fabulous experience. Thank you!

Excellent service from Nadja in the restaurant yesterday evening. She was super helpful arranging our very particular kids food orders. Accommodation was clean and comfortable as always. Great breakfast service from Charlotte and Clare in the morning. Thank you

What a lovely hotel, staff super friendly nothing to much trouble,every time we passed a staff member we were greeted with a big smile and a hello hotel clean food was good would definitely recommend and if ever in the area again wouldn’t hesitate too book again thanks for giving us a great start to our holiday!!!

We ordered the sharing platter in the restaurant. The garlic bread was cooked on one side the other hadn’t seen a grill and the salt and pepper calamari was cremated. The only coffee available at reception was de caffeinated. What sort of management is this? Why is the beefeater adjoined to the premier inn showing permanently closed on Google? After our food experience I can understand why!

Newly refurbished since the last time we stayed. Room was nice and clean. The bed was incredibly comfy, heating worked fine. Shower was low pressure but everything else was good. It was a quiet night of sleep and you couldn’t hear people in the rooms next door or anything annoying like that. Staff have a warm welcome too.

I came to this hotel for Crufts and won't be returning. The fire alarm went off each morning about 6am. I have PTSD and this alarm caused a major trigger for me. None of the staff mentioned it or apologised at breakfast or reception. It was like they didn't care. The bed was comfortable and shower was nice although a bathtub would have been a nice touch too.

Hotels fairly decent. No air con in the room we stayed in and it was uncomfortably warm. Evening staff at the Beefeater need to go to Specsavers. Physically having to call them over after waiting for ages, watching them pay more attention to cleaning empty tables than existing customers. Eventually we walked out after waiting to try to get their attention to pay the bill. They didnt see us go! Extras got added to the accommodation but even so, poor quality really. Multiple items on the menu not available They were also turning away walk ins even though the restaurant area was over half empty and they were only wiping down tables. When we stayed here last year the menu was excellent with a wide range of steak sauces available and vegetables. Now its only peppercorn sauce (cold) and chips. Think we'll try somewhere else next year.
