Amazing place. He spent a night and we really enjoyed it. We'll be back in the summer. The breakfast was incredible.

We are just back from a wedding and overnight stay. To be fair the venue is beautiful and the wedding, event coordinator we’re both wonderful. Having said this we made reservations 9 1/2 Mi the ago when the room block opened up. Paid for a larger room and tried to check in around 2:30, The woman at the front desk informed me that she did not have a room in my name, I pulled up the email confirmation and showed her that we indeed had room 2. She was extremely rude, luckily the event coordinator came in ( I felt bad,y as she had a zillion things to take care of with the wedding, she was kind and reassuring, took quite a bit of time but eventually we were out in the room. Rooms are VERY rundown, dirty carpets,wallpaper and paneling com8ng up, hubby looked behind the bed for an outlet and found straw,extra room key etc. would nit recommend staying there.

We attended a wedding here which was absolutely amazing, beautiful, great food, attentive staff, Bride and Groom very happy. The grounds are beautiful and maintenance is followed for grounds and wedding areas. However, the rooms are not as clean, updated and amenity filled as the website and price reflect. I understand it's country- I was raised and still live in very very country wooded area of central Pennsylvania. We were expecting bugs outside, and even 1 or 2 dead or flying by the lights in the room. Our room 15 had bugs in it as we tried to sleep and we both woke up in hives from being bitten so much. As no strangers to nature this was extreme, resulting in a trip to the doctor who confirmed the cause was multiple bug bites and prescribed heavy medicine. It was a very uncomfortable few days. In addition, the sheets were not the soft quality typical of a bed and breakfast and the innkeeper who checked us in was beyond rude, unfriendly and answered every question like it was pulling teeth. All other staff was great. We stay in historic properties often and most have managed ,( if they bill as a higher end Inn/BNB ) to put in Central air, update linens and room furniture, carpet and certainly if nothing else keep the bugs outside! This place needs to put the same effort and attention to detail they spend on weddings into the room and guest experience.

We love a get away at Holly Hedge. The inn is beautiful, accommodations are perfect and the service is great. A full breakfast is served every day of the week even if you are the only guest. My husband and I try to visit each year.
