Oasis Motel Sokcho

속초 여행 중 우연히 찾게 된 호텔인데, 정말 오랜만에 ‘다시 오고 싶다’는 생각이 드는 공간이었어요. 숙소 위치는 고속버스터미널 바로 앞이라, 속초 도착하자마자 캐리어 끌고 1분 만에 체크인했습니다. 처음엔 외관이 살짝 튀어서 ‘여기 뭐지?’ 싶었는데, 안으로 들어가니 공기부터 다르더라고요. 식물과 조명이 조화를 이루는 복도, 은은한 향기, 조용한 음악까지… 정말 말 그대로 '오아시스'였습니다. 객실은 크지 않지만 너무 알차게 구성되어 있어요. 조명 배치가 감각적이라 사진도 예쁘게 잘 나오고, 무엇보다 침구가 정말 편했어요. 이불에 얼굴을 묻고 누우면 하루의 피로가 스르르 녹는 느낌. 무엇보다 좋았던 건, '억지 감성'이 아니라 진짜 잘 정돈된 감성이라는 점이에요. 사진 찍을 곳도 많고, 직원분도 너무 친절하셔서 기분 좋은 여행의 마무리가 되었습니다. 속초에서 ‘호텔 오아시스’는 아직 많이 알려진 곳은 아니지만, 저는 오히려 그 점이 더 좋았어요. 적당히 조용하고, 적당히 감성 있고, 무엇보다 '내가 먼저 발견한 장소'라는 기분. 다음에 속초에 또 오게 된다면, 고민 없이 다시 이곳으로 올 것 같아요. I stumbled upon Hotel Oasis during a recent trip to Sokcho, and it turned out to be one of the best surprises of my journey. Located literally across the street from the express bus terminal, it was the easiest check-in experience I’ve had—just a minute walk with my suitcase. At first, the exterior caught my eye—it stood out from the usual—but as soon as I walked in, I understood the name. The air felt different. There was a subtle scent, cozy lighting, a hallway filled with greenery, and soft music echoing quietly. It really did feel like a small, well-curated oasis in the middle of the city. The room wasn’t huge, but the atmosphere more than made up for it. The lighting was warm and well-placed, perfect for taking cozy photos, and the bedding was genuinely comfortable. I slept so well—I didn’t expect that level of comfort in such a compact space. What I appreciated most was how authentic everything felt. It wasn’t trying too hard to be trendy. It just… was. Clean, peaceful, quietly stylish. Hotel Oasis isn’t yet a widely known destination in Sokcho, but that’s honestly what made it feel even more special. Like I had discovered a little secret before everyone else. I’ll definitely be back—and next time, I might even stay longer.
