We booked for 6 of us and unfortunately didn’t have the experience we were expecting. The food wasn’t great and staff were overworked so we had to go to the bar for our first round of drinks. There wasn’t all the food options available and vegetarian roast was definitely not a roast as advertised. The two blonde girls working were exceptional, very helpful! We felt very sorry for them being overworked and under pressure!

Warm cosy pub, lovely food. Staff very helpful. Ample parking for vans to stay over. Pub on the A6, easily accessible from main routes but the parking area is still in a quiet location at the rear. Not totally flat but ok. Would choose to stay here again.

Great atmosphere and very friendly staff and very clean. We did not eat but the food looked very nice. There is a great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages and it was nice to see dogs are welcome. The pub also sponsors the local football team

We ate Sunday lunch in the restaurant today and I have to say what a pleasure it was. So often, vegetable let a roast dinner down but they were perfect and plentiful. The meat was cooked to perfection and the Yorkshire pud tremendous. The staff were lovely and we will definitely be back again soon .

Very nice and friendly staff and simfood really good, looks good since all re done, big improvement since last time we were here which was a year ago. Nice atmosphere and good to have a big car park. Warm inside on a cold evening. Quick and efficient service.

Lovely place to stay
The only thing i could possibly have a slight problem with was that the duvet cover didnt fit on the duvet so if you move too much the cover comes off. Apart from that we had a fabulous stay

Great place not been for years great service great food great atmosphere, lovely warm, bright, really good menu. Clean and tidy. Desserts to die for. Steak pot pie and king prawn linguine absolutely out this world. Definitely would recommend

Enjoyed a Lovely meal, Thai curry was very tasty and lots of sauce was offered with the meal. We had garlic bread as starter, provided though not on menu.There was a very varied menu with specials offered as a bonus . The staff were very attentive to our requirements.

Lovely welcoming atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. Made to feel very welcome and were very well looked after throughout our visit. Will definitely be back again very soon. I’m just filling space now as my review had to be 200 characters.
