A beautifully restored 18th Century coaching inn, Conyngham Arms Hotel in Slane village offers luxurious accommodations in Ireland’s County Meath. A 2-minute drive from Slane Castle, it has a restaurant and garden, and provides free Wi-Fi and parking.

A very friendly hotel, extremely conveniently placed to visit the wonderful Newgrange neolithic site and the Brú na Boinne visitor centre. The rooms are spotless and the staff could not be more helpful. Our flight time was changed at the last minute and we found ourselves with time to fill on a very wet day. The staff ensured we were looked after in the hotel library room, so we could sit, enjoy a day of reading and watch the world go by. Slane is also a pretty destination worth a stopover in its own right, Slane Hill is where St Patrick reputedly started his mission in Ireland.

Revolting. We waited at least forty five minutes for food plus a fifteen minute wait easily from being seated. First waitress was inattentive and not friendly. Food arrived. They messed the order up. Chicken was so overcooked and chewy that i could not eat it. I asked the wait staff if i could get prawns instead of curry. She told me i would be waiting ages. When i went to pay, i told her the chicken was piled up at side if she was wished to look. She charged me full price. I am a tour guide staying at this hotel tonight with five clients. It will be the last time that I stay here or suggest that anyone stays here.

Chambre un peu kitch mais confortable, bon petit déjeuner. Nous avons également apprécié le diner même si les prix sont un peu élevés et le breakfast.

We stayed one night at the Conyngham Arms during our recent trip to Ireland. Our room was of a good size and clean. Our breakfast the following morning, eggs Benedict, was very tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We used this hotel several times in the last few months to visit family. The first time we stayed across the road in some fabulous suites. It was quiet, spacious and surrounded by green space and trees. The second time it was the same. Both occasions we returned to the main hotel across the street to have breakfast, drinks etc. It was perfect. The third time, the only room was in the main building of the hotel with a tight squeeze to park the car down into the carpark behind. The room was adequate but had a view of a flat roof and the bathroom door was more like a wardrobe. The staff are mainly lovely, the breakfast very good and it is clean. Just try to bag the quiet rooms they have across the road. It is quite pricey for one night stays at the weekend but midweek they have better pricing.

Lovely Village, I love Slane and the surroundings. And have visited many times. But the Coyningham Arms these days. First we were left in an empty restaurant without any sign of life for 15 mins until a waitress suddenly arrived. It was extremely awkward and confusing. Unbelievably overpriced and microwaved food. Myself and my young little girl visited yesterday and one kids goujons and chips a small coke and an extremely bland Thai green curry that was OBVIOUSLY Microwaved and was a sad excuse of a Thai green curry. No fresh lemongrass, or fresh anything cost over €56 Never again!! And word of mouth is everything in a small rural are. So its sad to to see. Hoping the service charge was within the price.56 euro price .if not then the waitres needs to find a better establishment to work in. This is one of my Rare bad reviews. It was a waste of over 50 quid

Arrived at the hotel and checked in. We were staying in the old post office across the road. Went to the room which was tiny. Great bedding and comfortable pillows. Great bathroom except the light nearest the mirror didn't work. I had to do my makeup at window for the light. Sockets are hard to find or blocked by furniture so they provide u with an extension lead. Lol. One of the chairs was filthy and stained. The noise from other rooms and the front door closing meant we didn't have a great sleep. Breakfast wasn't great. Staff at this hotel were lovely and the receptionist working on Saturday 7th June was very friendly and helpful

Only stopped for food, no vegan options, sad salad offered with brown lettuce and some tomatoes which cost eight euro. It really is very disappointing and a poor show for this day and age seen as there are places with whole vegan menus consisting of really delicious plant based options.

We really enjoyed our stay from the moment we arrived. Reception staff extremely helpful and helpful. Food was excellent. Bedroom was very comfortable and very clean. Great sleep in a very comfortable room. Will be looking forward to our next visit to Slane.
