Skiathos Princess

Lovely hotel and great staff. Looking at previous reviews saying there is no shade on the beach. There are plenty of umbrella with the sun beds, what more shade do you want? Grounds of the hotel are very green Food great selection and always have been very good.

I have nothing negative to say about the Skiathos Princess Hotel. It’s in a stunning location (Agia Paraskevi), has its own private beach, with the most comfortable sun loungers….including the ones around the pool. We stayed from the 18-25th of September, had no issues getting sunbeds for 4 of us. Breakfast was yummy, with lots of different options 😋 a special mention to the lovely Katie who we chatted to most mornings 💕 (have a safe flight home on Sunday). Staff were super helpful and friendly. Rooms cleaned daily. This was our 1st visit to Skiathos and definitely not our last! Such a beautiful, uncommercialised Island 😍

My wife and I spent 10 nights at the 5-star Skiathos Princess Resort from 1st to 11th September. The resort is in a prime position, right on the beach in Agia Paraskevi. The buildings and grounds are to a very high standard and all the staff are very friendly and efficient. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay but, as is often the case, we feel that there is room for improvement in some areas. In a spirit of constructive criticism, I would like to mention the following: 1. On arrival, there was no information booklet in the room, only a QR code which I had difficulty accessing on my smartphone. Reception staff were unable to provide a printed copy but they did eventually help me read the document on my phone. 2. There are plenty of very comfortable sunbeds at the pool and on the beach which are free of charge and towels are also provided. Surprisingly, there appeared to be no attempt to prevent non-residents using these sunbeds. Reserving sunbeds with towels was widespread. 3. There was no evening entertainment in the hotel although this had been advertised by Jet2 Holidays. 4. Our room (number 362) was spacious and well-furnished with a partial sea view. As it is on the third floor and there is no lift there were quite a few steps to reach it. The room was cleaned every day. 5. The air-conditioning appeared to have only two settings: on and off. There was no option to adjust the temperature or fan speed. 6. The over-bath shower was difficult to use without flooding the bathroom floor. A simple shower curtain would be more effective than the ill-fitting shower screen. 7. There was no facility on the balcony to dry wet swimsuits. I hope these comments are helpful.

They completely messed up our booking and put my daughter on a different floor we requested bedrooms together when we booked 6 months previously and emailed and rang two weeks before arrival. They took no responsibility and the manager was horrible. i’ve never come across such bad service by a hotel. The beach was lovely, but no shade so we had to hire expensive cabanas which were definitely past their best and the sides flapped everywhere when it got windy, as the bottom ties were all broken. They also charged us 50 euros for a one way transfer from the airport in a manky, beat up minivan with no air con and half the seat belts weren’t working. The staff at the beach bar and restaurant were brilliant and so was the food, and the beach was of course gorgeous.

I don’t feel this is a true 4 star resort for the following reasons: - no shade by the beach - no wine opener in the room you have to call the front desk and they send someone up with a bottle opener but it is the only one they have so you have to give it right back - front desk can’t make spa appointments you have to contact the spa directly but they don’t have a lot of hours they are open assume other resorts that are a better fit for what we were expecting and loooky for.

The Skiathos Princess Hotel is a wonderful place to stay on the beautifully authentic Greek island of Skiathos. We booked a Club Twin Room through TUI for one week. I would recommend contacting the hotel directly to specify whether you are happy with a double bed or require twin beds. I have learned that you cannot assume these things despite the room type. The hotel replied to my email promptly before our arrival. The room itself was of a high standard with large mirrored wardrobes as well as a large mirror above the dressing table and access to a plug socket. Linen and towels were of a high standard. The balcony was spacious. The grounds/gardens of the hotel were immaculately kept. The pool was clean and spacious. Pool towels were available free of charge or deposit next to the pool bar. There were an adequate number of sun loungers and many guests were also happy to use the sun loungers on the beach (also included at no extra cost as part of your stay). Breakfast offered an exceptionally high standard of food, including tea and coffee served at your table. We stayed half board and could use our half board allowance for either lunch or dinner. As this was à la carte, you could order from the pool bar menu as well as both the daytime or evening menus at the beach restaurant. If you ask, the restaurant staff will explain this to you clearly. There are also a number of restaurants across the road and within walking distance of the hotel. Locally, there is one bus route on Skiathos. The bus to Skiathos town costs €2 and takes around 15 mins from outside of the hotel. All in all, we had a lovely stay on the island of Skiathos and I would return to the Skiathos Princess.

Scettici inizialmente per aver letto recensioni non proprio positive su camere e ristorante, siamo molto contenti per aver comunque optato per questa struttura. L'hotel è davvero bello e curato in ogni dettaglio. Ci è stata assegnata una camera nuovissima, grande e molto comoda. Impeccabile la pulizia sia della camera che degli spazi esterni. Personale estremamente cortese e sempre presente. Cibo ottimo e pesce freschissimo. Spiaggia superlativa. Unico consiglio per L'hotel, dovreste pre assegnare gli ombrelloni in spiaggia o gestire con prenotazione durante i periodi di pienone perché purtroppo ci sono sempre clienti maleducati che occupano intere postazioni pur non essendo presenti per quasi tutta la mattinata per il semplice gusto di accaparrarsi i posti migliori. Non abbiamo utilizzato la piscina frequentata soprattutto da bambini.

Had a lovely holiday again at the princess. Lovely room, a large choice at breakfast, the made to order omelettes were the best. This year they closed the restaurant on an evening that was used for half board guests and guest has dinner at the beachfront restaurant, so much better. Thank you to panos (duty manager) who manage to sort a room issue for my elderly parents. The sunbeds on the beach and around the pool were very comfortable and great that they are included in price, as well as the Beach towels, aircon and safe also included. When you add up all the extras in a holiday sometimes it is not that much more to stay.
