Vigles Sea View, Philian Hotels and Resorts

Looking at the hotel photos and reality is like looking at a porsche and getting a 50 year old falling apart car. It feels like a scam. The reality is a shock, the rooms are old with a lot of falling apart bits, it is at the most a 1,5 to 2 stars, there is no reception no lounge nothing, the reception is at the pool bar, the breakfast also at the pool bar. Shame on the owners for posting photos that are clearly AI or photoshopped. I would not recommend this hotel stay away there are much nicer options in Skiathos. There where spider webs everywhere in the room, the shower was awful with no wall support the foam from the baths would appear in the middle of the bathroom thought the sewage system. The baseboard was falling apart, the first day there where lots of air in the shower abd we even found one in the pillow… really stay away from what is clearly a scam!

To begin with, it's not a hotel, but a house—a very old one, in dire need of renovation. It's also not an aparthotel, as the rooms don't have a kitchen or living room. In the guest building, there's no lounge area whatsoever! There's no indoor space to sit or relax. Reception and check-in are at the poolside bar. Breakfast is also served—ALWAYS—at the outdoor tables by the pool. A long table is set up with the breakfast buffet. The food is displayed regardless of the sun, rain, or wind. There's no other place in the "hotel" to put things. The hotel's photographs are extremely old and misleading. The towels are white and changed daily, and the staff is attentive. The outdoor furniture is very worn and doesn't match the photographs. The bathrooms are old and unappealing. The hotel urgently needs renovations and, above all, updates to the photos on its website and rental platforms, as what they show is completely misleading. I can tell that they must be fake photographs.

We spent at the Vigles Sea View Hotel, Skiathos. We loved this hotel. Rooms really nice which were serviced and towels changed every day. The staff are amazing, nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was buffet style with varied food options which was served in the bar area around the pool. Towels provided each day for use on the sunbeds around the very nice pool area. View from the pool area fabulous. We hired a car for the 10 nights we were there as the hotel is quite a way from any shops, bars, beaches and Skiathos town. This hotel we would definitely revisit in the future.

We love Vigles, the views, the peace, quiet & relaxation & the lovely staff. This is our 2nd stay at this hotel & the above factors make our stay truly wonderful. At times it was so quiet around the pool, it felt like we were in our own villa with staff Although high on the hill, you need to get taxis or their shuttle bus to the town or beaches, it is worth it as the views are spectacular. The rooms are comfortable & spacious & cleaned everyday. The breakfast has a good choice, pool snacks are limited, however the food served is delicious. Special mention to Marcie & Maria who will always try & accommodate our needs ❤️ We will be looking to book again next year.

Really small and quiet hotel, even though there were plenty of people there, felt like we were staying in a private Villa. Stunning views down in to the town. Amazing Staff who seem to work every day Maiya and Maria. Great breakfast options, have never eaten so much cake and baklava before. We generally got a taxi to the main town which the girls were happy to sort, and one back from the stop in town, as the hill is a bit steep.

Wir waren bereits zum zweiten Mal in diesem charmanten Hotel in den Bergen und sind erneut begeistert. Die erhöhte Lage bietet einen traumhaften Blick auf das Meer und die Stadt – einfach atemberaubend! Der gepflegte Poolbereich lädt zum Entspannen ein. Ein Auto ist aufgrund der Lage empfehlenswert, Parkplätze sind ausreichend und kostenfrei vorhanden. Die Nähe zum Flughafen hat uns nicht gestört – im Gegenteil: Man kann den wenigen startenden und landenden Flugzeugen sogar zusehen. Das Frühstück war wieder hervorragend, der Service sehr freundlich, und auch die tägliche Zimmerreinigung war gut. Unser Standard-Doppelzimmer war sauber, zweckmäßig eingerichtet (TV, Klima, Fön, Safe, Kühlschrank) – alles, was man braucht. Ein paar kleinere Kritikpunkte, die man optimieren könnte: Bei der Grundreinigung nach Gästewechsel gibt es Luft nach oben (z. B. mit Haaren gefüllter Duschabfluss, Staub an der Decke). Zahnputzbecher fehlten, es gab kaum Kleiderbügel, und die Duschbrause war in schlechtem Zustand. Auch der Seifenspender in der Dusche funktionierte nicht, wurde aber trotz offensichtlichem Defekt nicht ausgetauscht. Der Stauraum im Zimmer und Bad ist bei längeren Aufenthalten eher begrenzt, insbesondere im Bad. Die Handtuchhalter sind hier zudem wackelig und instabil an der Wand befestigt, dass man sich nicht traute, einen Kulturbeutel daran aufzuhängen. Trotz dieser Kleinigkeiten war unser Urlaub wunderbar. Die Freundlichkeit, die herrliche Lage und das sehr gute Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis überwiegen bei Weitem. Wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen!
