Hotel Akti

I have just returned from a week's holiday staying at the Hotel Akti in Skiathos town. My room was clean and comfortable with extra pillows and bedding if needed. There was free wifi and air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. From the balcony with table and chairs, the view over the port was excellent. There are lots of restaurants and tavernas offering a wide variety of cuisines, all within walking distance as is the harbour from which numerous boat trips are available. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We absolutely loved our 9 night stay in the cottage situated in the lovely garden of Villa Ella, a beautiful, friendly, well run establishment close to the bus route, beach, tavernas and cafes. The main house has more conventional rooms. Villa Ella is also within walking distance to the town(chora)- about 10-15 minute easy walk- either along the beach or just behind the beach between houses and hotels. Eugenio, who runs the Villa on behalf of his Mom, does an incredible job keeping the garden looking magnificent, being always available to give advice to his guests and looking after every other detail of the Villa. Our room was always kept clean by his staff. And having a fridge, electric cooking plate, utensils etc. made for wonderful breakfast overlooking the garden and ocean. The bed was super comfortable and so were the cushions. Nice set of drawers and adequate hanging space behind a curtain. Small bathroom, adequate.

Sono stata a Skiathos per due settimane nel mese di giugno, la prima settimana ho alloggiato in città all'hotel Akti. L'avevo scelto principalmente per la posizione, in modo da essere comoda per escursioni in barca e così è stato. Anche la sera mi sono trovata bene, perchè scendevo e a due passi avevo le principali vie della Town, con negozi e ristoranti, e i due porti vecchio/nuovo (che a sua volta ha diramazione verso aeroporto, dopo la stazione dei bus). Raggiunto dall'aeroporto con il bus, in circa 10 minuti per soli 3 euro (rispetto alla tariffe dei taxi). In camera era presente piccolo frigorifero silenzioso, bollitore e un paio di tazze per colazione. Speravo di poterla fare sul terrazzino ma al mattino era inondato dal sole. Presente un mini market accanto all'ingresso dell'hotel, lato porto. La camera assegnata era al primo piano con vista sul porto, al mattino la luce del sole mi svegliava abbastanza presto perchè l'unica tenda disponibile è bianca.. per cui non poteva filtrare. Bagno estremamente piccolo, doccia che si allagava ad ogni utilizzo e con tenda di plastica che si appiccica sulla pelle mentre ti lavi. Le prime sere c'è stato parecchio rumore dalla strada, fino alle 2 di notte tra scooter che facevano sù e giù e persone che parlavano e ridevano a voce alta nelle taverne al piano terra. Ho chiesto all'addetto alla reception se c'era la chance di un cambio camera, anche in giorni successivi, ma ha risposto esclusivamente NO. Pulizie molto essenziali, cambio biancheria non frequente. Climatizzatore molto datato e rumoroso. Lato servizi mi aspettavo di più visto il prezzo pagato, inoltre le foto che avevo visionato in vari portali (incluso questo) mettono in evidenza altre camere, con arredamento e colori diversi, che si trovano probabilmente all'ultimo piano. After searching through lots, we are so glad we booked this lovely hotel. The location is fantastic, room comfy & clean, views amazing (overlooking the port) and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be returning again in the future!

This hotel is in a lovely spot right on the harbour near bus stop zero we walked from the airport took around 20 minutes the staff are really friendly and the hotel is spotless we had a bit of trouble sleeping due to a baby crying all night in the next room the staff moved us 2 doors down which was greatly appreciated the view over the harbour watching the ferry come and go was brilliant try to get a front room also they have a beautiful black and white cat that's sleeps in reception and has a little wonder around the hotel

We stayed for one week in September 2023 in the Penthouse Suite 1 with the most amazing views across the new port. It was room only , however we had been provided with a fridge and kettle, which was great for our morning cuppa and wine in the evening on the balcony. Perfect location ,with bars and restaurants very close by and only a five minute walk into Skiathos town centre. Angelos in reception was very welcoming and made our stay so relaxing , we will definitely be back. Thank you
