I have stayed here 3 times now, good location, friendly owners, nice and clean. We had a large double ensuite room and we were very happy there

We booked The Monsell as we were attending Skeggy's Ska / Reggae Festival and it's location was perfect for all the venues we wanted to attend. Staying with Chrissy and Brett was an absolute pleasure. They are very kind and attentive. Even calling us before our stay to ask if we needed the room on the lower floor as access to the other floors were by stairs only. Breakfast was pre ordered the day before and freshly cooked the following morning. Substantial portions! Nicely cooked. (My hubby was disappointed because there was no black pudding - but that's nothing new! 😊) Our room (#1) was clean and large. Plenty of tea / coffee / milk. The bed was a dream! Very comfy. In need of some TLC but absolutely fine for the 3 nights we stayed. I have given a rating of 4 simply because The Monsell is in need a little bit of an uplift ... but what Chrissy and Brett provide is worth every penny. We will definitely stay again.

Hot Skeggy
A decent week in a very hot Skegness, in a room that got the sun all afternoon. The shower was no bigger then a Phone Box & being a big Northern Lad found it a tight squeez.

Stay elsewhere. Broken bed and no refund offered for a sleepless night. Terrible customer service.

I was really impressed with my room. It was also very clean. Bed was comfortable.
Staff were brilliant upon arrival and also when i departed. Only negative feedback i give is i don't think they should charge customers for wanting to leave their luggage on day of departure. Customers who don't drive will more than likely want to leave luggage somewhere safe but i feel like this service should be free.

Great location
We had a weekend stay in Monsell Hotel in a ground floor twin room which was great for mum as she has problem with stairs. The hotel is well located only a 10 minute stroll from the clock tower, shops & beach just a little further. The hotel is clean & has basic amenities, the staff are welcoming & friendly.

The hotel is in a quiet part of Skegness and only a short walk from the beach funfair and shops .
They offer a breakfast you can purchase on check in which is good value and very nice
