La Santa María

Had the worst meal that I’ve ever had in Spain. Myself & my 2 friends have never been as disappointed in our meals! Main courses were appalling. Main courses were served, starters hadn’t even been cleared. Dinner arrived in 3 minutes flat so must have already been pre-cooked. Seafood marinara was just a few prawns, pasta & soy sauce mixed through it🤮

Senza dubbio il peggiore degli hotel in cui sia mai stato. Posizione vicino centro. Sporco vecchio, l’ingresso è lo stesso di un ristorante dove c’è la fila,.la camera disgustosa. Una matrimoniale prenotata e mi trovò un buco letteralmente con un letto alla francese in cui o si alzava l’uno o l’altro una schifezza. Appena fatta la doccia si è allagato tutto. Soldi buttati

We have stayed at La Sta. Maria hotel since the 1980’s (once or twice a year), and we returned June 2022 for the first time since 2019. Unfortunately, much has changed for the worse with the new owner. In general, the rooms and bathrooms need renovating - malfunctioning air conditioning and no glasses on the bathroom, which used to be the norm. Bad wifi connection, and the towels you can bring to the beach were full of big holes. The breakfast almost felt like being in a cafeteria and not a hotel - we had to make our own coffee and set the table ourselves. Also, we got steak knives to use for buttering the bread - fairly difficult to use for this purpose. The staff in reception and at breakfast as well as the cleaning staff are kind and helpful. In terms of the restaurant staff, the waiters brought the main course before the starter had been finished. A bit more time between the courses would have been nice. Some of the waiters do not have very good manners, and the woman, who showed us to our table, was not friendly, and we experienced being shouted at. The hotel is not good value - too expensive for what you get. We will sadly have to look for another place to stay in Sitges and cannot recommend La Sta. Maria hotel anymore. El hotel esta limpio, pero nada más entrar te das cuenta de que necesita renovarse. En recepción hace mucho calor, y el baño de la habitación debería renovarse. El precio es desmesurado si se tiene en cuenta lo que ofrece, pagamos 370 por una habitación sin desayuno dos noches para dos personas, sin piscina, y el minibar de la habitación no enfría correctamente. El precio no se corresponde con los servicios que ofrece. No tienen habitación de cortesía para el último día, entiendo que si es un hotel barato no lo tenga, pero en este caso se debería facilitar. La cama era cómoda, y los trabajadores fueron siempre muy educados. La ubicación es muy buena, justo enfrente de la playa, y cerca del casco histórico.

Loved this place! Such a friendly vibe and the staff were so warm and helpful! Service was excellent and the food was amazing! I would so recommend this place! A huge shout out to all the staff who were friendly, fun and attentive and made the evening very enjoyable
