Wow, where do I start?? Really not worth the price paid. None of the sites was clear about which rooms faced the National Day fireworks and price for all rooms were very high for the preview dates. I booked the wrong facing room and there was no way to upgrade as it was full house. Additionally, I specifically mentioned that it was my husband's 40th birthday but there were no special arrangements made even though, when I called to verify the day before, the receptionist said there will be a cake delivered. In the end, I was offered a small box of chocolates on that day because they were full house and there wasn't any records of a birthday celebration or cake despite being promised one. Check-in was a pain. Even after I did the pre-registration, it was not as simple as scanning a QR code. I still had to be present to scan my face as well as my partner's face. For a 5 star hotel, it was an absolute mess as everyone was trying to figure out the self check-in and asking for help because it was not that intuitive. I was unable to get my room number the first time round and had to ask for help. It was a case of automation gone wrong. Also, even though I booked a King Suite, there was no lounge access unlike most hotels where suite automatically entitles you to lounge access. When I asked, one of the poor overwhelmed counter assistants said that's because the King Suite is an "entry level" suite. Ok, then don't call it a suite?? Then, the room!! It wasn't that clean as I could see dust everywhere. Toiletries were very basic, perhaps to match the "entry level" suite. And the best part - the toilet flooded every time someone showered. There was water everywhere and using the toilet was a wet and unpleasant affair. The shower head didn't work (only the rainshower and taps did) and there was no bidet spray. Very 90s facilities which did not work well. The light controls were confusing and it was very hard to turn on and off lights in specific areas alone. 5 star pricing but 1 star service and maybe 3 or 4 star facilities. Stay somewhere else if possible.
