Sigiriya Green Garden Homestay

Do not recommend this hostel at all. The guy who runs it is nice but that is the only good thing about it. The room was in shambles, bugs everywhere. Air con only turned on at 8pm in the evening until 8am, which was not specified online when we booked. The second night he only turned on one side and it is was so hot as it was a very long room so it was not enough. It was way too hot to be inside during the day. The bathrooms are terribly designed, an elevated toilet right beside the shower which means when someone showered everything, including the toilet would get soaked. You weren't allowed to put toilet paper in the toilet and had to use the bin, which had no bin bags, and weren't changed at all while we were there for two days! Disgusting smells and so unhygienic. No soap in toilets either. The fans in the room look like they're about to fall off, constantly make noise and are placed dangerously close to the ladder of the bunk beds. They had water but you had to pay for refills. If you want any level of comfort do not go here. Would give zero stars if possible
