Excellent location, room is very clean. Front desk service is good. Having a onsite parking is a plus. Highly recommended.

Do not go there My husband and I travel quite a bit and have been Hilton Honors members for years. Hilton has always been a reliable chain of hotels and we look for it when we book rooms on our work and pleasure vacations. Until recently, we have never felt the need to write a review to complain but I cannot avoid it now. We just checked out of the DoubleTree by Hilton Sighisonoara, Romania. It was part of a vacation with two other couples, one of which is also a Hilton Honors member. From the moment we entered the lobby I knew it wouldn’t live up to Hilton standards. The receptionist was very unfriendly and not helpful. The lobby smelled of cigarettes. The carpets in the hallways and rooms were stained. The refrigerator is in a cabinet that was difficult to open. There was a tea kettle that wouldn’t stay on to heat the water (the button kept popping). The bathroom light flickered intermittently. The towels were worn out and torn on the edges. There were soap dispensers in the shower for body wash, shampoo and conditioner and they were all empty. They had separate small bottles on the counter. And there was no hair dryer. As to breakfast, most of the options were empty or low. The salads weren’t fresh. The coffee machine offered espresso or coffee, the latter of which didn’t fit in the cups provided. They had juice cups that were paper cups and could be used for the coffee. There was also a spider crawling on my napkin at breakfast. Nasty! The woman at checkout was pleasant.
