Terrible Terrible hotel. Flew with Jet 2 and they have always been great and been to Turkey a few times already. I did look at the reviews before I booked an they were mainly positive. I heard Side was a great place so thought would go for a 3 night breaj However my experience wasn't great at all. On arrival at reception, the staff member wanted to me share a room with another man who had come off the coach at the same time, I said No and also did not want to share the room even with the room upgrade he was offering. 1st night could not sleep as heard a vibration g humming noise coming from the wall. Reported it to reception the next day and see if I could swop rooms, they said sorry we do not have spare rooms. The next night same issue, from around 10pm onwards. I rang reception at 4.00am and the staff member came to my room and we worked out the noise was coming from. The large external fan on next door neighbour' AC, again no other spare room.Also I tried to speak to Manager but the staff kept saying he is not in. I spoke to Sabo the Jet2 rep (nice guy) and he said video record it which I did. Later on teg second day an engineer came to my room and advised me the fan needs replacing the next day. The last night there and tge same issue no sleep. Speok to reception andeven though Manager was in hotel the staff lied to me and then told the fan would now be fixed in 2 weeks time! .i also found out that a lady ccomolinaed about the noisy fan and was given another room, so it is not just me complaining. I think the staff realised I was there for 3 nights so did not want to give the room to someone who would stay longer not nice. Lack of sleep 3 nights ruined my holiday. The hotel and staff are about making money off you, booked half board only to be told need to pay for water in evening mea, alsol not found food on buffet good and they want you to order and pay, for food at the bar which like the drinks is very expensive, safety deposit is charged per day, it is just about making money and not Customer Service, also the rooms need updating and so it should be a 1 star rating not 2.5. Very dissapointed that something trivial, which could and should have been sorted but instead they accused of making things up and no help from anyone at the hotel, Side the place was lovely, especially the Old Town catch no.1 bus it is 25Lira one way. The weather was great too. I hope you have a happy experience than I did. Have complaint to Jet2 and will see what they will do.
