Paloma Orenda

We stayed at this hotel in June 2024. We travelled as a family of 7 (4 adults and 3 children - aged 5 and 3 year old twins). The hotel is a fair distance from the airport and we took advantage of the TUI coach transfer - however, whilst the coach was fine, the journey was long, with numerous stops at various hotels. Inevitably we were the last stop so it took nearly 2 hours! With young children and late at night, next time a private transfer would be better. We arrived in the early hours and got checked in with no issues. The next day we woke and were very impressed. The hotel and the grounds are beautiful. Endless palm trees, grassy open areas and plenty of staff on hand to greet you and welcome you. We ate at all the restaurants including the steak house which I think is reasonably priced for the service and quality you receive. The buffet is good, not outstanding but you'll never go hungry. We really enjoyed having lunch at the beach side restaurant- again the staff are always welcoming and friendly. The animation team are great, they remember your names but they aren't pushy to get you involved. All the usual activities are on offer and there is always something for the kids. The kids club and park is great especially at night after dinner. The night entertainment is probably the best we have ever seen. The shows were unique and the kids loved them. The water park is a good place to spend a couple of hours. Try out the vertical slide at the top, that will wake you up if you've had a few drinks the night before!! We went into Side one day and explored the shops. The staff were not pushy at all. It was a nice experience as opposed to some previous experiences elsewhere in Turkey. We have now just re-booked for this year as we struggled to find fault with any of the elements of the hotel. It really is that good. I thoroughly recommend this hotel, the staff really do make the difference and the hotel has a completely relaxed feel, it never feels particularly busy, we always managed to get sunbed even as a larger group.

What an absolutely amazing hotel! We had the most incredible stay and can’t stop raving about it. The food was beyond incredible—fresh, full of variety, and changed daily. Every meal felt like a treat with so many delicious options to choose from. The beach was just a short walk away, and the soft, golden sand made it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings. The pool was fantastic, a true highlight of our stay, and the beach bar was just as incredible—great drinks, lovely atmosphere, and the perfect place to unwind. The staff were wonderful, always friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome and cared for throughout our visit. The activities on offer were another bonus, giving us plenty to do and enjoy every single day. Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations, and we truly can’t recommend it enough. We usually never return to the same place, but I’m seriously considering coming back with more family and friends because of how exceptional this experience was. Thank you for an unforgettable stay—we absolutely loved it!

Ein schöner entspannter Urlaub im Paloma Orenda :-)

Außen: Sehr schöne Anlage und Garten. Gebäude sind nur zweistöckig, kein Vergleich zu den vielen mehrstöckigen Klotzbauten in der Region. Wir haben uns gleich sehr wohl gefühlt. Gästestruktur: international bunt gemischt, von Rußland, Ukraine, Polen, Dänemark, DACH, Benelux, Frankreich, Spanien, England und natürlich Türkisch war vieles dabei. Zimmer: Eher klein, funktional mit offenem Bad, wobei die Türen zu Dusche und WC nicht richtig schlossen. Ich hatte daher etwas das Gefühl, in einem Badezimmer zu wohnen. Das Doppelbett war mir mit ca. 1,60m Breite zu schmal. Es gab nur eine durchgehende Matratze, so daß sich jede Bewegung der einen Person unmittelbar auf die andere übertrug. Auf meiner Seite war die Matratze auch schon etwas durchgelegen. Reklamation bei der Rezeption hat leider keine Besserung gebracht. Schlafkomfort war daher nicht so gut. Der kleine Fernseher mit unscharfem Bild ist auch schon länger nicht mehr zeitgemäß. Sauberkeit: Im Zimmer und der gesamten Anlage war gut, aber nicht optimal. Bei uns lag z.B. ab dem zweiten oder dritten Tag ein kleiner Schnipsel Toilettenpapier unter dem WC, der bis zum Schluß da geblieben ist - nur eine Kleinigkeit, zeigt aber, daß da offenbar nicht sorgfältig gewischt wurde. Auf manchen Rasenflächen draußen lagen manchmal tagelang irgendwelche Plastikreste. Am Strand wurden die Liegen anscheinend nicht jeden Morgen abgefegt und auch die kleinen Tische nicht regelmäßig abgewischt, auf dem Sand lagen oft Zigarettenkippen und irgendwelche Kunststoffkügelchen. Das ginge sicher besser. Service: War durchgehend sehr freundlich, nett und bemüht. Aber an verschiedenen Stellen zu wenig Leute. Vor allem gab es z.T. lange Wartezeiten bei den Getränken an der Strandbar, aber auch im Hauptrestaurant oder an der Poolbar. In der Strandbar haben wir abends mal 20 Minuten bis zur Bestellung gewartet. Als dann nach 25 weiteren Minuten immer noch nichts kam, sind wir trocken aufs Zimmer. Leider war an diesem Tag auch die Minibar nicht aufgefüllt worden, was insgesamt etwas frustrierend war. Dusche am Abreisetag nach Checkout kostet übrigens extra, was ich kleinlich finde und so noch nicht erlebt habe. Essen: Die Buffets im Hauptrestaurant waren sehr ansprechend hergerichtet. Es gab sehr viele Salate, kalte Vorspeisen, Suppen, Eintöpfe, Fleisch, Fisch, viele mit Reis gefüllte Gemüse (warm/kalt) u.v.m., so daß jeder immer genug finden konnte. Auswahl war andererseits jeden Tag sehr ähnlich, Themenbuffets oder Themenabende gab es nicht. Nach wenigen Tagen stellte sich bei uns daher eine gewisse Langeweile ein. Es gab auch einiges vegetarisch, aber da subjektiv eher noch weniger Abwechslung. Ein Kritikpunkt war leider die Fleischqualität: Chicken vom Grill war oft gut, vieles andere Fleisch jedoch sehr häufig zäh und zadderig und z.T. für mich nicht zu kauen. Gut jedoch wieder manche Schmorbraten, z.B. Lamm, auch die Eintöpfe waren verläßlich. Ähnlich beim Fisch: Erst habe ich gejubelt, da es tatsächlic

Einmal Paloma,immer Paloma...

Having been to a few similar hotels in Turkey, I wasn’t sure this would live up to expectations. I was totally wrong. Everything about the hotel is great. There were a few minor niggles - things you’d expect a place of this standard to be all over. That said, I’d 100% return here. We were a family of 10, ranging from age 11 to age 80 and there was something for everyone. Pros- too many to list but I’ll try! Big spacious rooms - family suites with super comfy beds. Double room probably a little small for more than 2 adults and 1 young child. Food - loads of choice at all times of day - plenty to cater for all ages and tastes. Pool - relaxed chilled vibe all day - plenty of games/activities to do all day if you want. Animation team work really hard and are super friendly. Loads of sun beds at the pool and we had no issues getting sun beds together for all of us at 9am each morning - none of this sun bed nonsense we’ve seen elsewhere. Games/activities - loads for all ages - darts/yoga/football - all great and well run Bars - seemed to be a decent choice mostly, with branded options available at no extra cost (we were all inclusive with TUI). Service in the bars and restaurants was great. Especially Tahir and Firman who looked after us all week - they all work so hard on 12hr shifts, but still make time to chat, with constant smiles and banter. A la carte - Wabi Sabi was awesome. Didn’t try the others. Probably the best vegetable spring roll I’ve had. Portion sizes not huge though. Dietary requirements - my wife is vegetarian and there was plenty choice, but all pretty carb heavy. Cons Strange as some people might think this is - I don’t drink alcohol and there are only mocktails/soft drinks - no zero alcohol beers which in 2024 is a bit behind the times. This would probably be a deal breaker for me returning. However, the drinkers in my party were happy with the local beer which is Efes. Becks was also available in bottles. Coffee - not great - at breakfast and in the restaurants the options are generally from an automated machine. If you love coffee and want anything other than a cappuccino you’ll be disappointed. The guys at pool bar were great though and learned how to make a flat white on day 2 of our holiday and had nailed it by the end of the week! Gym - it’s ok, but nowhere near the standard of Liberty Fabay where we went last year. If you’re into your training then make sure you know how to improvise. Overall a great place to spend a week. Hotel was spotless everywhere. Plenty to do. Right on the beach, water was warm in the sea and the pool wasn’t cold either. Staff great. 5 out of 5.
