Akron Seascape Resort

We stayed at Akron as a family of 4, with a 3 year old and a 2 year old. It was a really great resort to stay for what we wanted, which was to have all amenities on site or nearby. We went half board, we’d planned to just do bed and breakfast but it was only £1 a night more for half board when I booked. But we’re so glad we did, the food was varied each night, it was tasty, and it made it way easier with the 2 kids. You also get local beer or wine included at dinner even if you’re not all inclusive which was nice. The breakfast also had lots of variety. Staff also really lovely. We stayed in a superior maisonette - 2 storey with a balcony on the lower floor. No swim up pool. We actually had our 2 kids sleep upstairs in the master room (2yo in a cot and 3yo in the bed) and we slept on the twin beds in the living area. There’s a steep set of stairs between the floors that you don’t really want young kids going up or down on their own and you can’t block them off from the living area. So. With the kids upstairs we could keep them safe in the bedroom with the door closed and not have to sneak past them during nap time or after their bed time to use the bathroom or go on the balcony. The pool area is great and doesn’t ever feel crowded, the kids pool is about 2 ft deep all over so not “paddle depth” at any point. So kids who can’t swim always need arm bands etc. Canal d’amour beach literally 1 min walk from pool. 10+ restaurants a 5 min walk from reception.

Je recommande cet établissement. Tout est parfait son accueil, la gentillesse du personnel, l' emplacement à côté du canal amour, le rapport qualité/ prix. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. L'hotel nous a surclassé sans supplément.

Disappointing Photos looked amazing on the website Glad we only stayed a few days Has good potential but I think the hotel needs to spend a bit of money to get it up to scratch Areas of the hotel needs upgrading urgently Too many people from outside the hotel wondering around Staff seem to want to serve them before the actual guests I would not return Outside the hotel there are some little apartments that look fab for a fraction of the cost Please do your research first

Excellent staff Excellent customer service and rooms all well maintained and comfortable all to a very high standard pool lifeguard Excellent keeping a close eyes on all. Cleaning staff are very hard working all restrant staff are friendly and helpful bar staff friendly and well trained the hotel works so well the manager will be happy to help in anyway he can he very knowledgeable

Before I get to the issues I have to say that the Bar staff, the wonderful restaurant manager/staff and the housemaids were so brilliant and friendly it was a shame that the Hotel "So called" Senior Management couldn't organise the proverbial ".......in a brewery" I won't give room numbers but let's just say it's been mentioned on here through MANY other posts that a certain room that we were given on our arrival had many issues PRIOR TO OUR ARRIVAL that meant we couldn't and didn't want to stay in there because of these things. BUT THE YOUNG GIRLS ON RECEPTION AT 1.30 AM TOLD US WE HAD NO CHOICE AND THE MANAGER WAS ASLEEP and they were fully booked, although I found 5 rooms within 40ft that were empty, but the hotel "system" did not allow us to move to them. Eventually we were given a "replacement "room at 2am and promised that the issues would be fixed during the day.. Yes late Tuesday afternoon they fixed the door to the room that wouldn't lock or locked us in or out of the room and also the bathroom window that also wouldn't lock and would swing open and anyone could get in and out....But they could just use the door!!! So we thought ok that's it now....oh no how wrong I was.... Having not showered I decided to have a shower and got in to the bathroom only to find that the shower jetted water over the glass shower into the living room and only if you tilted it in the corner and crouched down it would not flood everywhere... They fixed it on Wednesday.. ....On holiday I'm not a TV watcher but always enjoy looking at what stuff local is on.... Imagine my surprise when the TV blew up and our neighbours heard the bang as well..... We eventually got a new room 3 days later and it was one of the rooms that were always available. . Food was very samey but I do believe that wasn't the kitchens fault no entertainment either but overall the senior management were so poor they really were unprofessional. Would not return or recommend apart from the great Bar staff, Brilliant and friendly restaurant manager and wonderful housemaids...
