Contessa Hotel

The hotel is in a quite small building not far from the center of Shumen (about 1 km). You can arrive easily by car and you can park in the street or, if you are lucky, in the tiny courtyard of the hotel. The location is calm, but not attractive. Our room was very spacious with 2 windows, a living area with 2 little sofas, 2 comfortable beds and a desk with a chair. Furniture was nice, although during the evening lamps couldn’t light up the room. Bathroom was OK, it had a bath. There is a restaurant on the ground floor: we had a good dinner, even if we waited a long time for our meals. We could have a whole breakfast, but we prefer to order only coffee, milk and pancakes. Reception is always open and the employee speaks English. Good value for money!
