Awful nights sleep! People talking really loud outside reception early hours of the morning, weren’t told to be quiet at all by staff. Fire alarm went off firstly at 2:38am! No staff to be seen in evacuation point, other guests also wondering what’s going on. Fire door wedged open with fire extinguisher. Alarm went off for a second time; no reassurance from staff. Could smell paint fumes very strongly. Told this morning when complained to reception that the workers were decorating through the night and the fumes and dust set the alarms off.

At Battlefields there no restaurant but next door there pub called two Henry s, there good food available and it led at breakfast time by Dawn, she deserves a mention, also at the lodge the receptionist was excellent.

Excellent little Travelodge with good amenities. Nearby shops and something to eat if you want breakfast on a morning. Next to a pub and approx £9 in a taxi to Shrewsbury. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay again if in the area for Shawbury.

The hotel is clean and the staff are very welcoming, especially Chris. Chris is always willing to help you with any questions you have and is a person who is both friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The location of the hotel is also good, with a lot of restaurants nearby.

The bedding smelt of stale sweat, despite being crisp linen, it must actually be the quilt and pillows themselves. Staff arrived at 6 am, setting alarm off on storage cupboard, and left it sounding for 17 minutes. They talk and shut doors so loudly without a care for those sleeping who have paid for a peaceful night sleep.

Booked a hotel last minute and the lady on reception, I think her name was Emma was very helpful and made sure our room was ready for 3 people who needed separate beds. The room was clean and Emma checked us in smoothly. Would highly recommend for local tradesmen

Great budget hotel, especially if you have a pet. Great staff, clean and tidy, spacious, close to local amenities and attractions. An Aldi and Tesco just over the road for any supplies needed, Tv with Freeview in every room, all needs catered for and a very pleasant stay.
