Fountain Anguilla

Our stay at Fountain was better than we expected. Even with all the positive reviews, we were still blown away with the incredible service from before check-in until we were on our way home. The entire staff at Fountain were courteous, helpful and kind. Denise was there to meet us upon our arrival and easily accessible by message if she wasn't on the property. She helped us by personally calling restaurants and beach clubs for lunch and dinner suggestions and reservations, helped me work out our departure day plan so we didn’t spend unnecessary time at the airport, offered ideas about where to visit when. We reserved a 2-bedroom garden view for Spring Break. Our hope was that it the kids could enjoy the pool easily from the room while we got to relax. We had the Sea Grape Suite, which despite the "garden view" classification has a gorgeous view of the ocean from all the porches! We were delighted. The lanais were quiet and private, we felt like we were in our own tropical oasis enjoying coffee every morning with the local chickens pecking around the lawn. Our kids LOVED having their own room with full bathroom (with 2 sinks) and it was so nice for us as parents to have our own space too. The pool was clean and the kids enjoyed it every evening after beach hopping, and on a rare rainy morning for a little rainy day swim. It seems like the pool is skimmed daily and fully serviced at least once per week. Beds were so comfortable and bedding was soft and luxurious. We had plenty of beach towels and bath towels, which were replenished every day. Stays of 6 days or less receive daily trash and towel service (not a full clean), but we were pleasantly surprised to find that we also had beds made when the room was quickly serviced. We didn't really need full housekeeping, since we kept our unit tidy and spent most time out of the room. It was wonderful to have a fully outfitted kitchen with full sized refrigerator + freezer with filtered water and ice. The kitchen had everything we needed - pots, pans, dishes etc, plus pitchers, drip coffee maker, toaster, full size stove + oven, microwave, hot water kettle, dishwasher, dish towels, dish soap and sponges. We picked up breakfast, jugs of bottled water and snack foods at the grocery store to have when we were back in the room- it's shocking what an appetite kids (and adults) can work up relaxing on the beach- ha! There is a laundry room right next door to the unit - this keeps the room from getting hot but still very convenient to throw in a quick load of laundry mid-stay. Fountain provided laundry detergent for two loads which was so helpful. It seemed all units had access to washers and dryers. The walk to gorgeous Shoal Bay East beach is about 5 minutes down a gravel path (shoes recommended) - then kick off your flip flops and take a 6-10 minute walk along the water to Tropical Sunset to enjoy the complimentary beach chairs provided with your stay. We loved this place but it does need updating. Our dishwasher was broken as were a few other units as we heard from others staying there. They should just take them out if they aren’t going to replace them. (I think it’s owner preference) The dishwasher and the dismal faucets are the only reason I give this property three stars. Otherwise it’s a great value and a four star property. It’s mostly great location but you will need a rental car to get around. It is harder to get dinner at this end, so plan to eat in at night and save yourself some $. I would still stay again if coming back.

I was late in reserving a place for our holiday vacation in Anguilla and on a recommendation from the TA message board we ended up at the Fountain. It exceeded my expectations. We were in the Hibiscus suit, two bedrooms on the bottom floor. I was worried that with no view it would be dark and gloomy, I was wrong! The rooms were large and airy and our lanai by the pool was surrounded by beautiful greens and flowers, felt like our private oasis. The beds, if soft, were comfortable. Showers were great and good shampoo, conditioner and body cream was provided as were enough indoor and beach towels. The kitchen was stocked with most dishes and utensils needed and it was nice to do the laundry outside the suit. It was a short walk to the beach and a bit further to the Sunset Bar where we could use the lounge chairs, though mast places provide chairs with lunch. My son enjoyed the pool at the end of the day. We had our first day breakfast at Zemi nearby, it was good but very $$$$. I found out later there were other places. Afterwords we went to the supermarket ten minutes away and ate in. I was disappointed that not many restaurants on the East End are open for dinner we ate at the same close by restaurant a few nights, but it was good. Of course the staff were friendly and helpful, like most Anguillans. My husband, mother and son and I all had a wonderful week.

We found an ideal spot in paradise! Fountain Anguilla has everything you need for a perfect vacation. The accommodations are well furnished, well maintained and immaculate. The staff goes out of their way to help you with anything you desire. We have stayed their twice and hope to go back every year for a long time.

We just finished our first trip to Anguilla - 2 weeks at the Fountain Anguilla. We love the location. Our one bedroom apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable with great views. The staff headed by Prudence was very helpful with the ferry, car rental and dinner reservations. We have been to several Caribbean islands and this is now clearly our favorite. Looking forward to returning next year.
