Our first pit stop on our first Northeast trip to Meghalaya. We were slightly skeptical by the looks of the hotel but we were proved wrong. The rooms were spacious. Most important, The bathrooms were clean. We were surprised to see there is no AC in the room, and there is only a small fan. Only later did we realise that there is no need for either of this, at least the season that we went (last week of May). We were greeted with heavy rains, gusty winds - we never felt the need for a fan, forget AC. This is the only place in my 1 week trip across multiple places which has an active restaurant. The food was very good, the service was equally good. If you are coming for first time to Meghalaya, try out Jastem (local rice), Daiiong (dal). It’s very tasty. And, try these dishes only at good hotels, otherwise it may leave a bad impression. The breakfast is not that great. I am not expecting them to make good idly or any other south dishes for obvious reasons. The pan cakes were decent. Tea or coffee - again, best to avoid, as that is not their specialty. Anyway, I am not going to downgrade my rating for this. Room selection tip…we got a room on the fifth floor, it came with a huge porch area. When it is raining , grab a cup of coffee and enjoy nature. Things to improve…nothing that I can recall Enjoy your trip
