So today 4 of us visited this spa, as we had been before and it was fantastic. However this experience was not what we expected. We arrived and had a coffee the room was freezing and no heating was on, was told that the staff only have the power to turn up the lights. We asked for a glass of water to go with the coffee, the water was cloudy and not drinkable. We headed to the spa, it was cold the whole place felt cold. We then got our dressing gowns, and it was a one size fits all, but it was tiny, we aren’t big people but they didn’t even wrap around us fully. We then headed to the pool, it was FREEZING, not just a little cold it was Baltic and unbearable. We spoke to the lovely receptionist and she was very accommodating she turned the pool temperature up but it didn’t make a difference. We then decided to have a steam room to try and warm up, there was no steam at all in there. The only one that was fit for purpose was the sauna. We are very upset about the whole situation, this was a special occasion and we had been looking forward to it as our last experience was a very pleasant one, (the last time we went was 2 years ago and it was the same time of year) the staff were really lovely and really helpful, and couldn’t help us anymore if they tried, however they can only do so much. We had to leave the resort and get our money back. We even had to cancel all our treatments and afternoon tea as it would have been too cold. Unfortunately we will not be returning to the spa again. This is very upsetting as we live locally and would have used it again.
