When we booked our room through ***********, it stated that breakfast was included in the price. Just before we arrived, the owner left me a voice message stating that he couldn’t provide breakfast because of Covid-19 protocols. When we arrived at the motel, the owner was friendly but said he couldn’t give me a discount or a voucher (to make up for not providing the advertised breakfast) as I did not book directly with him. After much discussion, he did take $10.00 off the price of the room. We had room #1 and the living space had been recently renovated with laminate flooring, and included a new tv, small table and chairs and comfortable beds. The bathroom had not been renovated, could have been much cleaner, and needed a new toilet and shower curtain. Although this was our most expensive motel during our 2 week road trip to the Maritimes, it was a good location for an overnight stop. The big sign out front advertising free breakfast should be removed and the website updated until the free breakfast is reinstated.
