DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield City

The location is great and parking is convenient, rooms are modern and clean, but there are a number of points that let it down. We've stayed here on two occasions now, once in a suite and once in a standard room. In both rooms the aircon doesn't really work, it does blow out air but when on its lowest setting to cool the room it just blows out room temp air, and if you have it on heat its luke warm air. I wouldn't want to stay here on a hot day as the window only opens a crack. I was surprised the suite doesnt have a fridge, I understand not having one in every room but for the price of a suite I'd expect one. Parking is expensive a little more expensive than some of the other hotels in the area and could add up quickly if you where staying a while (£15per night). Hotel bar is very expensive, but there's plenty of other places within walking distance if you wanted a drink. Unfortunately on our last stay one of the towels was dirty on our arrival. The football going on didnt bother us, but it is worth noting if you are there on a match day the road the hotel is on closes while the match is on. And the hotel lobby and bar is where a lot of the fans hang out to grab a drink before and after so gets very busy and loud.

Great Hotel in Sheffield, the front desk staff where very polite to everyone even when it was busy. The rooms and lobby area are immaculate, I work all day and come back to the hotel every evening and they are very welcoming to each person who comes in. I feel safe when I'm in the hotel and happy to be staying here when I'm away for work. did I mention about the restaurant? Ohhh gosh. the restaurant is amazing. the food is presented very well and tastes like heaven. Oscar and Ciara were very polite to me and had great manners towards me when ordering food and drinks, they recognise you which is great because with some places I have been they forget who you are after an hour which Isn't good in my opinion. Oscar and Ciara they love to talk about anything within reason. overall great Hotel!!

We attended the Boogie Bingo Night on Saturday, 22nd of February, and what a fantastic event it was! Our group of 10 had the best night—so much laughter, dancing, and fun from start to finish. The atmosphere was incredible, and the staff truly made the experience even better. A special shoutout to Kiera at the bar for taking such great care of us—friendly, efficient, and always with a smile. We also stayed overnight, and the rooms were modern, spacious, and beautifully designed. Check-in was seamless, and we were warmly welcomed by Kushboo, which set the tone for a great stay. Breakfast the next morning was absolutely delicious—the best scrambled eggs I've ever had! Sue and Krista greeted us with smiles and made sure everything was perfect. Overall, a fantastic hotel with an amazing team. Thank you for a wonderful experience—we can’t wait to return!

I booked a night away for my wife’s birthday a spa package with a treatment the following morning when I check-in the lady at the desk had told me that I had not had a spa treatment even though one was showing on her computer I booked through Hilton and just because the main counter didn’t tell the spa About my booking there was no room to fit me in for my my wife’s treatment. The young guy from the spa who does the treatments basically told me Saturday evening Mr. Price enjoy your stay and we’ll do something in the morning when the morning came his tune changed and basically there’s nothing he can do an absolute joke. I will not be booking Hilton Sheffield ever again . Oh and as a apology for getting my wife’s birthday wrong they had the audacity to send me an email saying they are very sorry and they’re gonna put some points on my Hilton Honors account thank you very much Hilton.

Wat een heerlijk hotel! Gloednieuw na de verbouwing, zeker ook leuk voor de voetballiefhebbers in combinatie met een wedstrijd van Sheffield United. Wij zaten op de bovenste verdieping. In kamer 723 en 721 heb je schitterend uitzicht over het stadion. Het personeel was vriendelijk, de manager zeer hulpvaardig en we mochten al vroeg inchecken en opfrissen na een lange vlucht en treinreis. Op het gebied van de horeca en bediening was ook alles nieuw, een jong team dat nog veel moet leren, maar ze doen het met de beste bedoelingen en doen ook echt hun best. Geduldig wachten was voor ons geen probleem, maar denk dat ze nóg meer hadden kunnen verkopen als ze beter op elkaar ingespeeld waren en de pin automaten zouden werken.

Everything about this hotel was a joy. Reception, the lifts, the room, the bar, the restaurant/breakfast area and most importantly the staff.
