DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield City

We stayed here overnight for a show at the Arena across town. Parking was easy and the team found the rugby for us to watch on the TV before heading out. Both Emily and Krista were superb - predicting what we wanted and providing excellent service for the whole family - well done and thank you!!!

Wat een heerlijk hotel! Gloednieuw na de verbouwing, zeker ook leuk voor de voetballiefhebbers in combinatie met een wedstrijd van Sheffield United. Wij zaten op de bovenste verdieping. In kamer 723 en 721 heb je schitterend uitzicht over het stadion. Het personeel was vriendelijk, de manager zeer hulpvaardig en we mochten al vroeg inchecken en opfrissen na een lange vlucht en treinreis. Op het gebied van de horeca en bediening was ook alles nieuw, een jong team dat nog veel moet leren, maar ze doen het met de beste bedoelingen en doen ook echt hun best. Geduldig wachten was voor ons geen probleem, maar denk dat ze nóg meer hadden kunnen verkopen als ze beter op elkaar ingespeeld waren en de pin automaten zouden werken.

We booked in Last minute due to our original booking at a studio apartment we had arrived at and was what I could only describe as a hostel so we immediately left and booked in with these guys! Customer service was absolutely brilliant, she made us feel welcome from the minute we stepped through the front doors. The room was absolutely beautiful, and me and my fiance had the best night sleep! We also got a text message through on the app from the receptionist asking how our room is for us 10 minutes after arriving which I thought was very thoughtful. I highly recommend this hotel we will definitely be coming back again!

Terrible staff. They’ll charge your card for no just reason and will refuse to respond to your email after to explain the charges. Thieves!!! The location itself is great for the city as it’s right by the Sheffield United stadium. Restaurants are close by. There isn’t much to do in the city otherwise.

There are no redeeming features. Expensive parking despite being outside the city centre. Staff are indifferent, minimum effort and have a complex relationship with the truth. The showers aren't hot, the toilets struggle to flush properly, the corridors are dark and half the hotel faces a busy road.

Just wanted to drop a quick email about my recent stay within the wonderful Doubletree By Hilton Sheffield between Monday 28th through to Wednesday 30th October. The check-in process was seamless and enjoyable, thanks to the front desk agent, Khushboo, who assigned me to room 720 on the 7th floor—the highest floor at this location. They also took the time to explain my Gold member benefits, including a drink voucher and a signature DoubleTree cookie, both given without me even asking. **Room:** Situated on a high floor, the room was free from street noise, except for occasional sirens from emergency vehicles. It was spacious, with plenty of storage and typical amenities, including bedside drawers. **Breakfast:** Breakfast was a classic buffet spread, with the option to have eggs cooked to order. All items tasted fresh and of high quality. **Staff:** Every staff member I encountered was outstanding, regularly checking in to see how my stay was going and if I needed anything. I only wish I could remember each of their names to thank them individually.. Beginning my Hilton Honors journey in Sheffield as a Blue member, I chose the DoubleTree by Hilton Sheffield for my first stay after achieving Gold status. My experience proved it was the perfect choice. I've already booked my next stay for December and look forward to enjoying the same warm hospitality.
