Carriage Ridge Resort, Ascend Hotel Collection

This is a hidden gem. THe rooms were big, with balcony, full kitchen and jacuzzi. It was very spacious. There is a washer dryer too. THe bed pillows and the duvet were very soft. THere is no elevator, we were on the 3rd floor. There was free coffee in the reception area. THe price is good as well compared to the other resorts in the area. Would definitely come back.

I was shocked at how great the rooms were. I was expecting a ghetto stay but it was great. We came for Vetta spa , but the ski hill was right out our window - wish we thought ahead and brought our gear. Perfect space for couples - not sure if the pull out bed is available or not. But a family of 3 or 4 would have a great time. Full kitchen huge bonus!

This is our 3rd year in a row booking at the resort. Amazing location- close to lots of great activities. However this time our room was not clean upon arrival- hair all over the bathroom floor, not swept. This was not what we have experienced before. The receptionist working at the front desk was so rude and stressed. It is March Break and their busiest time of the year -which she told us many times over and over- however we paid a lot of money to be there and it is our vacation - no need to take your stress out on the customers. After the change in service since previous visits - we won’t come back.

I’ve been here a few times and there are pros and cons. It’s worth it to get the nicer suites - better beds and the kitchens are well appointed. There are no restaurants which is fine but they did not let us know when checking in about a 5 hour planned power outage. When we mentioned this would have been helpful they insisted we had been told. A sign on the door to the lobby area could have ensured all guests were informed and planned accordingly.
