Shangri-La Runjing Muqi B&B

A Wonderful Stay in Shangri-La! We had an amazing 3D2N stay at this lovely guesthouse. The host was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful – always ready to assist and made our trip so much smoother. The room was clean, cozy, and had a beautiful view of the surrounding area. One of the highlights was the free pick-up and drop-off at the train station, which was super convenient and thoughtful. We truly felt at home here. Highly recommended, especially for travellers from Malaysia – you’ll feel warmly welcomed and well taken care of.

It’s not near town for sure, going to Dukezhong Ancient City will take about 20 mins drive. That said, the big wide view offered by the window of ground level room encapsulate what Shangri-La is all about - open grassland, majestic mountains, sun rays peaking through clouds and the delightful scenes of when the goats graze right in front of the window. The innkeeper and her team was great throughout our 3 days stay, meeting our requests and needs such as to have hotpot dinner at a later timing, no doubt extending beyond their usual hours. Evenings after our excursions are spent gathered on the heated floors and enjoying the large projector screen. Do bear in mind that it is an apps based operating system which may required small Alipay payment on premium movies. All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Amazing experience at this hotel! Loved the view, very warm welcome and so gentle staff! The small village is truly authentic and we’ve been enjoying the mountains despite a mitigated weather. Would recommend it 1000 times!
