Aerotel Shanghai

Aerotel at Pudong Terminal 2 is built for layovers that need real rest. Getting to reception with six large bags took a little navigation. The elevator sits inside a room next to the counter, not out in the open. If you are traveling light the visible escalator is easy, but with luggage the hidden elevator is the way up. From there it is a short hallway to another elevator that brings you to the front desk. The receptionist greeted us with toiletries at check-in. The room itself is spacious. It held all our bags and two carts without feeling crowded, and the beds, likely queens, were comfortable. Cleanliness was excellent. We did run into one hiccup when the shower drainage backed up and flooded the bathroom. It might have been left by the previous guest, but the security guard came immediately at 2 a.m., mopped the floor himself since housekeeping was off, and got it sorted fast. That kind of quick response matters when you are trying to sleep well and take a hot shower before a long flight. The location inside the terminal is the real advantage, and the air conditioning worked great. For transit rest, it does the job well.

Love this hotel! Super convenient as it's located right in T2, making it perfect for anyone with an early morning flight—no need to rush. The hotel is very new, clean, and comfortable. Highly recommended!

The location is upstairs from the departures entry gate. So you just go down the stairs. As amenities, other than towel, you need to ask for something needed. They didn't have bathrobes but they kindly provided bath towels instead, grateful for that. Rooms are spacious and modern.

We requested an accessibility room which was accommodated. They only have one. The hotel location is a bit difficult to get to by wheelchair as there are multiple lifts. The room was clean and functional and staff were friendly and accommodating.

The hotel is in terminal 2 which is very easy to check in for flight. The rooms is clean and spacious but the only downside is you cannot turn on A/C or open any windows during spring (April) which makes the room very hot.

I honestly can’t fault this place. There was some wear and tear in the bathroom and furnishing but the location was perfect. The hotel is super convenient, my check in area was G, literally down the stairs from the hotel- awesome. The room was super comfortable and the bed was a dream- you really wouldn’t think it was bang in the middle of an airport, hardly any noise at all. The staff at check in were very friendly too- I didn’t eat there as many restaurants just outside. I’d definitely stay here again if I have an early morning flight or long transit.

🏨 Aerotel Shanghai Pudong Airport 上海浦东越途机场酒店 *** We had an early morning flight from Shanghai to Hong Kong, connecting back to Kuala Lumpur. Instead of waking up painfully early to travel to the airport, we decided to stay at an airport hotel to make things easier. There were several options at Pudong, but I chose Aerotel Shanghai Pudong Airport. It’s a relatively new and well-known airport-hotel brand, and the OTA apps kept nudging me with gradually dropping prices, so I decided to take a chance. I’m glad we did. The bedroom was surprisingly spacious, especially for an airport hotel. Comfortable beds, good layout, and enough room to move around without feeling cramped — ideal for a short overnight stay before an early flight. The bathroom wasn’t large, but it was very well designed. Good lighting, strong water pressure, and a satisfying shower made it feel better than its size suggested. The green tiles were a nice touch, and despite the compact space, everything worked well. My daughters even said it was the best hotel bathroom of the trip, which was unexpected. The hotel itself was well organised, clean, and efficient. Quiet rooms, smooth check-in — exactly what you want before a travel day. The only disappointment was the wellness aspect. We asked for a yoga mat for some light exercise and were told it wasn’t available — something about the room not being a “wellness room”. A small thing, but still a let-down. What really sealed it, though, was the location. In the morning, we walked out of the hotel, went down an escalator, and the Cathay Pacific check-in counters were right in front of us. No transfers, no timing stress, no margin for error. That alone justified the stay. Despite the minor hiccup, this would be the first hotel I check if I ever have another early departure out of Shanghai Pudong (PVG). Sometimes, convenience really is the luxury.

This hotel located on Terminal 2, very convenient for early flight, we request wake up call, they call and also Knock our door to make sure we wake up, bed was comfortable, total sound proof, no sound of airplane at all.. they also has ginger tea and popcorn at reception.. great stay

Great hotel for resting between flights. Rooms are twin types, very comfortable. Dental kit for request are free. The breakfast are very tart.
