I would've given this hotel a five out of five rating, but we had a bizarre checkin process. Earlier in the day I had called to ask for a room on a different floor than where pets were typically allowed (due to my wife's allergies). The lady on the phone was very accommodating and said that we'd be on the fourth floor. Upon arriving, explaining my earlier phone call, and waiting as the guy checking me in was looking over something for some time, I was told that we wouldn't be on the fourth floor and that we would have to be on the first floor, down the hallway to the very last room. My hope is that he did try to place us away from some pet rooms, but am not sure. It seemed a little odd that my previously-approved request had not been honored. When we walked into the guest room, there was a serious issue that needed immediate attention. Back to the front desk. Again, a long wait, now listening to the annoying front desk phone ring and ring and ring, which happens when someone is on hold. As the sales manager went by I mentioned our issue to her, so she and the maintenance guy went back to our first room, came back and agreed that the issue was there and the room was not usable. As we waited again, the original guy who checked us in seemed a little unsure of what to do and stated that we had made our reservations through *******. Upon showing the receipt on my phone, that the reservation was made through the Hilton Honors website and not through a third party company, we were then finally given a room on the fourth floor where we had been promised to be from the beginning. Not sure what happened, other than maybe the front desk guy pulled up the wrong reservation to begin with. A half of an hour into the process, we finally got to our room on the fourth floor. In the end, we were happy with our room and enjoyed our stay.
