Agelia Beach Hotel

This is one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. We had issues with our plane where it got over 10 hours delayed and we arrived in the middle of the night. The staff had left prepared us nice plates with food, which was greatly appreciated. The facilities are very clean. The staff were super kind, professional and helpful. The food was amazing too. There were new dishes to try everyday at every meal, both greek foods and also other things.

Une semaine de rêve dans cet hôtel La première nuit la climatisation ne marchait dès le lendemain on nous a surclassé Peu de personnel parlait le français mais les personnes qui le parlaient se sont mis en 4 pour nous aider Les repas étaient très bons et variés Bravo au personnel des bars La façade côté rue ne paie pas de mine mais toutes les chambres sont côté piscine et mer et la plage privative est superbe Rien à dire de vraiment mauvais J'ai adoré

Sehr nettes Personal, der Balkon war großzügig und das Essen war ok.Ein sehr netter und umsichtiger Restaurantleiter. Alles war sauber und gut organisiert. Der Weißwein schmeckte. Die Koffer wurden sofort aufs Zimmer gebracht. Gute Liegen .

The hotel is very new and clean. All staff is very nice and attentive. The hotel is a bit isolated but this is fully compensated by its quality. The food was nice with a lot of choices, but not Greek. 2 pools and private beach, that’s the secret of this hotel, the location!!!!

Hotel is in a nice location on the beach with a few nice places to eat locally. We had a car and would have been lost without it as there isn’t much to do in the doorstep but if you want a “fly and flop” holiday it’s a good spot. The hotel was very clean and the staff cleaning rooms were lovely and did a great job. The beds are very comfy too which is a bonus. The hotel though is what I would class as a UK three star. The staff are grumpy and you barely get a smile from most of them, even when you try and engage. The restaurant manager just likes talking to tables of young girls and you don’t even get a hello from him. The food is not great and is limited with quite alot unlabelled. Drinks are served to the table but you often cant get anyones attention to order a second drink. We saw the chef smoking in food prep areas behind serving stations which wasn't great either. in the evening they play music via YouTube so you hear constant adds - not good. Drinks are in plastic glasses even when not by the beach so in the evening you cannot even enjoy a drink out of a real glass. I loved Crete but wouldn't go back to this hotel.

Comfy clean rooms, nice beach! Front of hotel was bad though, rubbish everywhere. Food was not hot, and was practically the same every day. Staff seemed grumpy except a few waiting staff. Had to go to shop for water, not easily done for older people. lots of trip hazards and tatty sun loungers. Table tennis next to the restaurant with kids running in between tables to get ball back, very annoying when trying to eat. Much can be improved on, definitely not a 5 Star.
