I have never previously written a review for any hotel, let alone Trip Advisor. However, for this hotel I will, and the reasons will become apparent: After our stay, Donnington Manor Hotel sent me an email asking for a review; the email was a "no reply" and had no reply button!? Our room was executive, and fine; apart from an overflowing shower drain that sent water under the bathroom door, into the bedroom area. This was fixed speedily. Breakfast was poor due to inattentive or untrained staff. No system to alert staff to breakfast ready in the kitchen, therefore arriving cold. Bar server rarely behind bar, we observed several people giving up with their orders. Room not serviced as late as 3.00pm, when we returned tired and ready for a rest. Room serviced after complaints, and a wait of an hour. This review is written after a two night stay, booked direct with the hotel. I hope it helps.
