Hotel Sole

Albergo Sole is a nice place to stay - and the staff are exceptionally helpful ! Albergo Sole is on the river in the nicest part of Sesto Calende (in our opinion !). We requested a quietly located room - and our room was quiet, with good air cooling, and darkening shades. Breakfasts are good (including good cheese !) - and so was dinner. The staff was helpful with making and preparing selections that are in keeping with our dietary restrictions. Staff was helpful throughout our stay - in numbers of ways: providiing a driving space within the courtyard of the Albergo; preparing breakfast ahead for storage in the in-room frig for an early departure; and also taking care of our check-out a day ahead for the early departure the next day. Albergo Sole is recommended -- and is a good choice for stays prior to air departure (Milano-Malpensa Airport is drive of about 30 minutes from the Albergo).

A charming small albergo, directly on the lovely riverfront. Our room, faced an inner courtyard and, though a bit dark and small, was tidy, clean and comfortable. The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming. The albergo has a nice restaurant with outdoor tables in the courtyard and a pretty dining room. Breakfast was generous and served by a warm and attentive staff. Sesto Calende, a suburb on Milan near Malpensa airport, is a surprising, riverside gem of a town filled with families and pretty villas.

Ubicato in posizione felice, camera abbastanza anonima. Pur avendo prenotato per due le asciugamani erano per una persona. Nel corso del soggiorno é terminata la carta igienica e non vi era in camera la relativa scorta. La colazione decisamente inadeguata. Cappuccino impossibile, pressoché inesistente la parte dolce. Personale disponibile, gentile, ma per il prezzo pagato avremmo gradito meno disattenzioni.

Bel hôtel traditionnel et bien tenu ! La localisation est top ! (Coin animé de la promenade avec restau, glacier, café…). Des places de parking payantes sont disponibles près de l’hôtel. Accueil chaleureux et bienveillant. Les chambres sont grandes, bien équipées et joliment décorées dans le sens du détail. Nous avons séjourné dans la chambre 1 …👌 Pas de bruits ! Double vitrage et clim. Le wifi fonctionne parfaitement. Les petits déjeuners sont très copieux. Vous pouvez choisir ce qu’il vous plait (salé / sucré). Ils sont fait à la minute. L’hôtel fait également restaurant. Rapport qualité / prix moyen selon moi… Mais ça n’engage que moi ! En tout cas l’hôtel est top ! Je recommande sans hésitation.

Hotel Sole was a very nice place to stay for two weeks in Sesto Calende. It is very quiet inside the room and is in close proximity to all the cafes and restaurants, as well as supermarkets and train station. All of the staff at Hotel Sole were great! Especially Maria and Georgiana who made me feel very welcome and were incredibly friendly and helpful. I cannot thank them enough for making my stay more enjoyable! I can highly recommend staying in this lovely little hotel during a trip to Northern Italy.
