Swiss Boutique Hotel

Ein Hotel für Leute die geniessen und verwöhnt werden wollen. Sehr gute Lage, nicht weit weg von Senegambia aber doch sehr ruhig. Ein "Adult only" Hotel, wo man sich vom hektischen Treiben in Gambia herrlich erholen kann. Der Inhaber führt das Hotel mit viel Herzblut und mit dem richtigen Mix zwischen Schweizer-Gründlichkeit (20 Jahre in Schweiz) und doch mit der afrikansichen Lebensfreude. Das Zimmer war gross mit herrlicher Meersicht und überdurchschnittlich sauber. Ich wurde die ganze Woche vom Team verwähnt und erhielt ausgezeichnete Hilfe und Support vom Hotel-Manager. Bin überzeugt, dass dieses Hotel die beste Wahl für Leute ist, wenn man keinen Party-Rummel will, sondern in einem Boutique Hotel guten Service geniesst und sich vom afrikanischen Lebensfeeling begeistern lässt. Absoluter Top Aufenthalt!

I don’t understand the positive reviews. This hotel is totally due for renovation, and lacks charm, once upon a time a second store was attempted, but clearly rests unfinished, which spoils the view of the building. Inside I had the feel of an airport hotel, with austere corridors and rooms. The hotel was mostly deserted with just a few guests. The mattress in my room on the ground floor was terrible, with pointing springs. Average breakfast no fresh juices, instant coffee. There are some pro’s, why I still quote this hotel average. A nice terrace on the first floor, overviewing the swimming pool and the sea. The great beachfront garden where you can enjoy a rest facing the sea, and the quietness of the spot. My room had a small terrace facing the swimming pool and the beach, the views on the first floor are probably better. Staff runs the hotel in a friendly way but is rather absent. A small kitchen serves average food, dinner must be preordered during the day.

Discriminatory, ignored me for 20mins when I arrived to checkin, I rang the bell the owner came look at me and ignored me, he helped other people that came after me. He made a comment that he is not used to local guest, he said that he is only use to white guests.

Es handelt sich um ein ausgezeichnetes Hotel mit hervorragender Küche und einem super freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Inhaber. Sainey Manneh hat ca. 20 Jahre in der Schweiz gelebt und hat ein Auge fürs Detail. Sainey ist sehr gut vernetzt und kann bei allem helfen. Als wir gefragt haben, wo es live Musik zu hören gibt, hat er dies kurz telefonisch abgeklärt und uns dann gleich selber zum „Poco Loco Club“ gefahren, wo eine super Reggae-Band gespielt hat. Das Hotel ist sehr familiär und man kennt rasch das ganze Team beim Namen. Wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen!

All rooms are spacious and most enjoy a superb ocean view! If there some clouds the sunset is magnificent. No noisy neighbors so in all a great place to relax. Direct access to the great beach with a nice gradual slope into the water. Best asset of the hotel might be the owner, Sainey, who is very friendly and always happy to assist with whatever question you have. He personally looks after the well-being of his guests! It might help that he worked some 20 years in Switzerland and speaks for instance fluent English and German. Sainey also made the hotel eco friendly as it has its own water source and works completely on its solar panels. Due to this there is no airco, and although we typically like that it was no problem at all: the hotel is well-built, the fans work great and the refreshing pool is just a few steps from the room.

Checked in here for a few days to get away from the hectic Kololi, walked out onto the hotel terrace to a view of the really nice pool area and a magic view of the beach and ocean only to be told I was their only guest at this time. Paradise and all just for me. Great host's who make one feel right at home, just loved it and will be back

Pleasant and clean beach front hotel. Swiss Boutique is a 9 room Eco hotel, cleverly designed bij the Gambian owner and manager Sainy. Sainy and his friendly staff helped to make this a holiday to remember. The pool is cleaned daily by ‘Abliy’ a reliable, friendly, smiling coast’ Gambian. Back in ‘23!

Heerlijke plek: rustig, schoon en met stijl. Ik verbleef hier alleen om even op adem te komen van het werk. Perfecte plek voor een ontspannen vakantie zonder drukte. Fijne hotelbar en diner opties. Hier heb je geen last van andere mensen omdat het slechts 10 kamers heeft en meer dan voldoende zonbedden. Locatie is dicht bij de *****, met een taxi of driver ben je er in 5 minuten. Het hotel is gemanaged door Gambiaan Sainey (woonde 20 jaar in Zwitserland) en zijn Engelse vrouw Becky. Je hebt dus de Europese kwaliteit maar met de hulp en kennis van local Sainey. De ideale combinatie. Sainey is heel erg ‘verzwitserd’ en dat merk je aan alles: stipt en schoon. De airport pick up van het hotel is het geld meer dan waard omdat eigenaar Sainey met een bordje je zo van de airport plukt bij de uitgang. DIt scheelt je vervelende onderhandelingen met taxi chaffeurs. Excursies zijn ook eenvoudig te regelen via het hotel. Personeel is goed opgeleid door Becky die met vriendelijke doch strenge slag de kwaliteit hoog houdt. Dit is een fijne plek als je houdt van rust, schoonheid van natuur en een prachtige pool en zonsondergang. Perfecte prijs.kwaliteit verhouding en vele malen origineler dan een van de grotere (en veel drukkere hotels verderop in Kololi)

Kleinschalig (solar-)hotel met 10 kamers, pal aan strand en zee. Gelukkig geen (re-)animatieteam of discodreun rond het, schone, zwembad. Je komt hier voor de rust. En de zon natuurlijk, de temperatuur is aangenaam. En toen wij er waren, waren er maar drie kamers bezet. Kom je buiten het complex op het openbare strand/andere gelegenheden, dan word je regelmatig aangesproken door diverse hustlers en bumpsters. Dat is niet altijd even leuk, maar gewoon resoluut en met respect de boel afwimpelen en altijd blijven lachen! Dat is meestal afdoende. De kamers zijn schoon, goed ingericht met lekkere bedden en de ietwat lawaaierige plafondventilator voldoet prima. Een energieslurpende airco is ècht niet nodig. Op het boventerras is het uitzicht fenomenaal en je zit er super-relaxt voor zowel het smaakvolle ontbijt, lunch en diner. De sfeer is gewoon gezellig en familiair! Bovenal is de service van Swiss Boutique zeker het vermelden waard! De charmante eigenaar/gastheer Sainey is de absolute smaakmaker en altijd in voor ‘n praatje. Je kan bij hem èn zijn vriendelijk personeel met al je vragen, terecht. Niets is teveel! Ter illustratie: toen de kok een keer er niet was nam Sainey ons mee uit eten, geweldig toch?! Geld wisselen, betalen met creditcard, eigen taxidienst (ook voor ‘n rondtoer) noem maar op, het is mogelijk. Ontbreekt er iets wat op de menukaart staat? Dan wordt het geregeld en is het er dezelfde dag nog. Of anders de volgende dag. Kortom, ‘n heerlijk hotel, we komen zéker terug! Een aanrader!
