Definitley not a 4* hotel. On arrival the check in took over 30 minutes, no drinks offered or anything. Nothing was actually explained to us.. where facilities were at the hotel, what time things ran from, no information on towels or the token system. We literally were left to go to our rooms blind and had to figure things out for ourselves. Once I got to my room (with no direction told) and no offer to help with luggage when I had a baby! I noticed that it wasn’t actually a sea view, after complaining downstairs they said the marketing team market the rooms that way.. basically you could see the sea if you bent over the balcony and looked to the right! Then we were moved to a room which had what I would call a partial sea view.. however then we were right above the bar, which caused a disrupted nights sleep for me and my 6 month old most nights. I didn’t even feel comfortable to go down unfortunately as th staff on reception weren’t very helpful and almost muttered under their breath when I went to ask something. You need to purchase tokens from reception to get drinks, if you loose your token, you can’t get a drink and have to buy more! Weird - as you have an all inclusive wrist band. Rooms were basic, no kettle or tea or coffee facilities and nothing in th fridge. Had to ask for a kettle and at reception they said there was already one in there. Maid service average, was left with no towels on 2 days, had to ask but they were lovely and sorted this quickly. However my dirty cups etc weren’t moved! On the final day, unfortunately someone jumped from the 7th floor balcony, this was as extremely traumatic for us. I ended up checking out as I was so shaken up. What I found uncomfortable is that people were sat around on their sun loungers after someone had hit the floor from the 7th floor balcony, and we were left with no support by the hotel, or staff. I witnessed this with my 2 friends and our 3 babies. And after wards the area was cleaned up and everything went back to normal (which in hindsight is probably best) however I would have expected some support from the staff members. After it being 4* I expected to be looked after a lot more. The food was what you would expect from an all inclusive. I felt ignored, and unsupported on my holiday. As a solo traveller with my child I expected more. Maybe it was a one off but I definitely think this should be classed as 3*. However th view from th hotel is gorgeous, and cannot fault the area it’s in. Unfortunately I’d like to see a lot of improvement on the customer service of this hotel. And I wouldn’t reccomend to stay.
