Embalakai Authentic Camp

It was amazing! They had great service and native warriors to watch over the camp at night. It was a great cultural and culinary experience. They even provide a hot lunch during your safari. There are babbons in the tree and you can safely hear lions at night. I highly recommend it.

Tolle Logde, super leckeres Essen und sehr sehr freundliche Gastgeber. Leider gingen die 2 Nächte viel zu schnell vorbei und unsere Safari ging weiter. Wir hatten einen super tollen Aufenthalt in der Natur im Wohnzimmer der Tiere. Vielen herzlichen Danke. Jambo jambo

Wonderful stay at Embalakay Authentic Camp, at the center of Serengeti reserve. Very warm welcome, friendly and helpful staff, happy to share the maasais traditions. Delicious food and luxury tents with all facilities. If we went back, we would choose again this Camp. Akuma matata.

We spent a couple of nights in Embalakai camp during our safari trip, and I was extremely happy with the choice: the facilities and food are great, and the team managed by Jonas did a fantastic job to keep us comfortable at all times. I would definitely recommend this location to friends and family!

What a great place to stay in the Serengeti. The tents/rooms are nicer than many hotel rooms with very soft linens and pillows and well appointed bathrooms. We had 2 tents, one with a king and one with a king and double for our kids. Being a tent, showers were a bit long as you wait for the hot water to reach you. The views from the rooms was amazing. The baboons walk by every evening to get to their perch in the trees. Once the sun goes down, you need to have an escort to get to/from the dining hall....and for good reason. One evening (see photo), there was a leopard watching us have dinner. Another evening, there was a hyena in the parking lot. You can hear the baboons, lions and other animals throughout the evenings as well. The food was great with many made to order parts like pasta in the evening and eggs in the morning. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My daughter became ill and while we were having dinner, many of them stopped by to check on her to see if she needed anything. Definitely an experience you should have while on safari in the Serengeti.
