Just back from an excellent stay here. We had a lovely clean comfortable room, superb food and wonderfully attentive hosts A delightfully laid back atmosphere but with an eye for detail and without compromising on style or standards, so it is appealing to young and old. We will definitely return.

The room was fabulous, very clean and comfortable. The hosts Billy and Ellen are very warm and welcoming and attentive. It felt like home from home. We had fabulous breakfast's and ate outside in their lovely courtyard. We cant wait to return to this beautiful place and wish Billy and Ellen all the best.

This is a fantastic little hotel and a must for anyone visiting North Somerset / Devon. The current owners Ellen and Billy were very accommodating throughout out our two night stay. The quality of local produce and delivery of breakfast and evening meals were excellent. A very relaxing break with lovely decor making the place feel very homely. We will be recommending to friends and family.

Our second four night say and as before it was excellent breakfast and evening meals where as good as and five star hotels we have stayed in. It’s in a lovely spot and Ellen and Billy are superb hosts Thanks for making our short stay enjoyable Alan

We received such a warm welcome from Billy & Ellen who were charming hosts for our weekend away. They served up great food & lovely wine, keep fantastic rooms and have a lovely setting for Cross Lane House within Exmoor National Park. What's not to like? Definitely recommended.

We have just spent 3 nights at Cross Lane with our dog in the Fry Room. The place is exceptional, delicous dinners and breakfasts cooked by Ellen and Billy runs a great bar and is a wonderful source of information. Our room was so comfortable and spacious and looked out onto the very beautiful front garden. We ate in the courtyard on 2 nights. romantically lit and felt we could have been in France. It felt as if we were staying with friends; so relaxing and we agreed it was the best place we three have stayed in in the UK! There is so much to do in the area and great walking: can't wait to return!

Had a fabulous 3 night stay! Fantastic hosts and room. The facilities at the hotel could not be better.. The food was absolutely outstanding, thoroughly recommend eating at the hotel. It’s a great location with lovely walks. Can’t wait to return.

Fantastic atmosphere, simple and delicious food, warm and genuine welcome. We will go back for more ! Evening meal definitely worth having for at least one night of your stay. Breakfast all cooked from scratch so if you are in a hurry let them know the night before.

Had a fabulous Bottles and Board feast. The squid sharer was just sublime. The setting was wonderful and our hosts truly excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Would have no hesitation in recommending.
