I stayed at Hotel Garni Ongaro during a recent trip to Italy, and it left me thoroughly disappointed. From the moment I arrived, I encountered a series of issues that made my stay far from relaxing. The room was noticeably outdated and poorly maintained, with creaking fixtures and stained carpets that hadn’t seen a proper cleaning in ages. The air conditioning barely worked, and it was a struggle to get any comfort from the overly stuffy room. Service was another major letdown. Requests for extra towels or a quick fix to the broken lamp were met with indifference, and the front desk staff seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than addressing guest concerns. The breakfast buffet, which I had hoped would be a redeeming factor, turned out to be a sparse and uninspiring affair—far from the hearty, fresh start one expects in Italy. The only slightly redeeming feature was the hotel's location, which offers a pleasant view of the surrounding area. Unfortunately, even that small positive couldn’t compensate for the overall lack of care and attention evident throughout my visit. I left feeling frustrated and dissatisfied, and I wouldn’t recommend Hotel Garni Ongaro to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay.
