Cross Keys

Made to feel very welcome. Lovely staff and a place full of character. Got to say, the stout brewed for the Cross Keys was outstanding, as we're the mushrooms at breakfast! Really hope to go back and enjoy another stay, you just felt your mood lift in the glorious surroundings.

A lovely country Inn with fantastic “old fashioned service “ we were helped in with our luggage and shown to our room nothing was too much trouble. The bar area was cosy and served excellent food and drinks and the bedroom was clean and very comfortable with a generous tea tray(more available on a shelf in the corridor if needed) and ample toiletries. We loved our stay and will most certainly be back

Had a great 2 night stay at Crosskeys. Food was great, breakfast especially, our room although small was perfect for us and we had the added bonus of attending a fabulous concert in the local village hall on our first night( which we had no prior knowledge of) which continued in the inn afterwards!!! A special word for all the staff who were so welcoming!!!

Booked this based on a newspaper recommendation from last year, what a great find. As everyone has said the staff were all lovely and friendly. Our room had a great view of the hills and although it faced the road there is so little traffic that we slept very soundly. By chance we were there on the monthly Friday steak night, would definitely recommend having this as the steak was one of the best we’ve had in a long time & perfectly cooked. The pub was absolutely packed out for it. We also ate on the Saturday night from the usual pub menu, its short but all the food was so good (special mention for the fish & chips). Breakfast is also very good (great porridge but be warned it’s a huge bowlful). This area is not as busy as other parts of Scotland but the scenery is spectacular and we really liked the helpful book of walks in the room

The location is excellent, very picturesque. The staff are fabulous, friendly and very accommodating. The food was great supported by a nice range of local beers. The rooms are comfortable and very quiet. Overall the Cross Keys is Highly recommended.

Popped in for lunch recently. A very warm welcome and a very cosy pub. The food was great too - pie of the week! Had to go on a long walk in the beautiful countryside afterwards to walk it off. All the staff so friendly and a real warmth there. Well done for getting the pub going again, very impressed. We will be back of course!
