Cross Keys

Great experience from a guest’s perspective. Idyllic location, very welcoming and warm Inn staff, and delicious food and drink. We really enjoyed our time there, also on account of the spacious, well equipped and very comfortable bedrooms. Rory and team really tool the time to make us feel at home. I heartily recommend The Cross Keys Inn, and will be back for sure.

Had 2 nights here, as part of a larger event. Truly great service, spacious rooms, great food (had diner and breakfast there. The owner himself was working hard and went above and beyond the make sure all was great. Will definitely visit again.

Very welcoming and lovely staff members who really looked after us well.the surrounding countryside is lovely and the rooms are very comfortable with good choice of tea coffee etc as well as a smart tv .our room was a good size too with very comfortable bed

Great food and service staff are so cheery and helpful. Duck leg was amazing decent portions and high quality. My son had kids burger which was some size looked like adults one. Great price on a cosy setting and when we left there was a live band on.

Stayed away for a night in October, the accommodation was ideal, warm and cosy. Ettrickbridge is a very small village with no shops but there are lovely walks around and being right next to the Ettrick water there are beautiful views of the river and bridge. The food served in the restaurant was outstanding with lots of local touches, the room had a lowish ceiling, to be expected from a traditional lodge. Very modern shower room, no squeaky floors, finished to a very good standard. Only comment was the bed we had was clearly 2 singles zipped together, the zippy part was a little irksom but slept well.

Stayed for one night - lovely little country pub. Room was cosy and very clean and the bar had a nice atmosphere with a mix of locals and guests. Food was well cooked and very generous portions - we both had the lamb hotpot with apple and blackberry crumble to follow - delicious and just right after a long day. Breakfast was also lovely (especially liked the fruit compote which wasn’t overloaded with sugar). Staff all lovely - very welcoming and friendly. Only small point was the lack of surfaces for toiletries etc in the bedroom - there was a chest but it held the tea/coffee tray and there was no shelf in the bathroom. Otherwise couldn’t fault it and would definitely return - prices very reasonable as well.
