We stayed at Jeeva Beloam Beachcamp for two nights in April this year. This place is totally amazing. The accommodation and ocean outlook are fabulous. The dining area is lovely and the food mostly quite good, but expensive for what was on offer. The portions were on the small side plus there were some items listed on the menu that were not available when we tried to order them). Restaurant hours are restricted, so we recommend bringing some snacks to keep in your room. The reception managers Lee and Pino were professional, warm, helpful – nothing was too much trouble for them. They gave us the reception WhatsApp contact, so we were able to request cold beer or a pot of tea via reception when the restaurant was closed. The Jeeva Beloam staff make a good effort to clear the beach of the rubbish, which is deposited at high tide, making the beach beautiful to hang out on in between delightful swims. One of the highlights of being down the beach was seeing the tracks in the sand left by transiting monkeys. The big issue: We booked via *********** because we were booking many accommodations for this trip and it was easier to manage the bookings via one portal. We typically find that *********** rates are similar to the direct book rates (if not a little better) but in the case of Jeeva Beloam the rate charged via *********** was more than double the direct book rate (we found this out whilst staying at Jeeva Beloam). We did think it was expensive when we booked but foolishly trusted that the *********** rate was close to the direct book rate. We thought it was probably expensive due to the remoteness, plus we looked at the Jeeva Beloam website to find out information about the property and saw in the “Dining” section of their website:- "Due to the isolated nature of the camp, lodging at Jeeva Beloam Camp is all-inclusive with accommodation including all meals, coffee, hot tea and iced tea, juice, lemonade, fruit punch and water. Soda and alcoholic beverages are charged separately" so, we thought this explained why. We told them this was misleading; they have since modified the website to reflect the truth. Because there is nowhere to eat other than the resort (due to remoteness), a significant amount of additional money is spent by customers eating at the restaurant, adding to the overall cost of staying here. We have had a series of communications with Jeeva Beloam to try get clarity on the high charge. *********** said the property sets the rate, the property wouldn't admit this, just referred to something called “Dynamic Pricing System, which means they may vary depending on demand and the booking period.” We booked 4 months in advance and the resort wasn't full during our stay, so the high rate we were charged didn't make sense (other than pure price gouging). We have had a series of communications with Jeeva Beloam to try get clarity on the high charge. We were eventually offered a voucher for 2-night stay to compensate for the overcharge is
