Hotel Don Felipe

Viajo desde Canarias, para pasar 3 días en Segovia. Llego a Madrid y, con menos de 24 horas, el hotel me avisa que no tengo habotación disponible por overbooking. Me dejan tirado, y lo que me dicen es que me busque la vida. La única opción que me dan es la de ir a un hostal. Es inaceptable la actitud, la altanería y el desprecio con el que me han tratado.

Hotel Don Felipe is located in the historic district. Do select parking at the hotel as you will not need your car for the rest of your visit. This is in a perfect location to walk to everything! The hotel itself is lovely with beautiful views! I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice room, slightly odd layout - en-suite bathroom good but up a few steps, but anything was compensated for by the beautiful view overlooking he countryside and the nearby Alcazar. Early morning on our terrace balcony we could see swifts dashing around and storks flying in and out of nests over this amazing scenery! An excellent location to walk into the historic city - cathedral, aqueduct, Playa Mayor, bars and restaurants, and in the other direction the aforementioned Alcazar.

Prima locatie, rustig aan het einde van het stadje. Parkeren in de garage ook prima geregeld (kleine plaatsen!). De kamer was goed uitgerust hoewel wij al betere bedden gehad hebben. Badkamer was ok, maar geen ruimte om je toiletzak weg te zetten. Het enige nadeel was de airco. Je moet ten eerste al aan de receptie vragen om ze aan te zetten, hoewel het buiten 30 graden was! Eens de gewenste temperatuur bereikt is slaat hij af, wat normaal is, hij slaat weer aan eens het weer opwarmt maar hij koelt niet meer. De truuk was om de temperatuur zo hoog mogelijk te zetten (zodat de airco uitvalt) even te wachten en dan opnieuw de gewenste temperatuur te selecteren. En zo iedere keer weer. Erg vervelend en onpraktisch. Maakt ook enorm veel lawaai (oorstoppen zijn niet overbodig!). In de badkamer staat een bordje dat je handdoeken die je wil hergebruiken moet ophangen. Toch worden ze meegenomen en vervangen door verse handdoeken. Haal dat bordje dan weg of geef betere instructies aan het personeel. De heren aan de receptie waren niet vriendelijk. De dame gelukkig wel.

Excellent small hotel with friendly and efficient staff. With stylish rooms and public areas this is an excellent hotel. Very close the Alcazar and other attractions and walking routes around the old city walls. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.
