"The team at the Pelican Lodge were super friendly and helpful before and during what was a difficult trip to visit someone who was very unwell. They accommodated delayed and uncertain arrival times when my flight was delayed and connections missed, and helped book taxis from the airport. It is a family run business with a very personal service. The lovely Cleopatra welcomed me every morning with a huge bowl of fruit salad and I worked my way through their breakfast menu trying a different thing each day. Her pancakes are excellent. The bedroom was spacious, the bed enormous, firm and comfortable. Pristine white bedding. There was a balcony area with a stunning view of the forest beyond. Everything was spotlessly clean and the room had everything I needed. The gardens are beautiful with outdoor seating and there is also a pool which I'm sure is very welcome during very hot weather. It is conveniently located in a quiet area, close to the main route. I would highly recommend! "
