Holiday Inn Express & Suites Houston NASA - Boardwalk Area

This was not a good experience for me and my family. The front desk support was not there, and the hotel does not seem to be family friendly. I called the front desk at 11:00 pm , no answer. I went downstairs to ask for help with the noise, but no one was at the desk. They may not be able to control the fact that people came to this hotel to party, but they can control their response. I continue to hear running, stomping, and laughing as I write this at 1:00 am. I’m guessing that the hotel staff can’t get the people above me to stop. I have a four hour drive first thing in the morning, and this does not seem fair. Is there a protocol for this? It is after hours and people are still loud. If you want to party, maybe this is the place to be. If you want to get some sleep, definitely not. This has been a very bad experience for me and my family.

Arrived from Dallas by hire car during our tour of texas, Hotel was easy to find and chosen for location for a visit to NASA. Hotel offers free parking and check in was swift and easy, twin room was large and comfortable. You are able to walk out for an evening beer or a meal if you choose. Stayed x2 nights, breakfast was under managed, this hotel is popular with business and trades workers so plan breakfast carefully. Great location

I traveled for a living for many years, and I have learned to be reasonable about my expectations depending on the price and location. Greeted by friendly and competent clerks. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and it smelled good! The AC cooled down the room in minutes. The breakfast had enough variety that I could find food to fit my diet. Big well-lit parking lot, and the icing on the cake was that it was just two minutes from the location of the family reunion I was attending. Would be happy to stay again.

Clean and spacious room. Friendly staff. Breakfast was limited and omelettes were a bit dry. Adequate I supposed. Overall good value with a nice comfortable bed and a quiet place. Good location. Close to NASA space centre and Kemah Broadwalk.

We planned to stay after a day on the boardwalk. While the name has suites, we learned there are no suites on this property. So on to our experience (1) We had to ask for towels (2) They didn’t have linen for the sofa sleeper. (3)The plugs by the bed didn’t work (4) roaches in the room. I’ll Never stay there again. And when leaving staff didn’t even ask how our stay was. Clearly they don’t care as evidenced by our experience. Note: other families had to wait hours for their room because they were short on staff.

I booked this hotel late in the evening through priceline.com. I was traveling with a service animal whom assists my 7 yr old autistic daughter. The front desk agent by the name of Brian said I need to provide registration paperwork that the animal was indeed a service animal. I advised him that per the ADA, service animals are not required to be registered. He never asked me what service the animal provided. He assumed that the animal was an emotional support which I understand that if it's an emotional support, some places do require paperwork, however this was not the case. Because it was so late in the evening (11:30pm) when I tried to check in, I told him, I would mind paying a pet fee. The agent then stated the pet fee was $500. That would have been more then what I had paid for the overnight stay. I refused and proceeded to walk away so I could cancel with priceline. The agent then Stated he would lower price to $250. By then I was already uncomfortable and decided to continue with my cancelation. Priceline did reach out to the hotel and actually spoke to Brian whom told them he wasn't authorized to cancel reservation and that management would authorized on Monday. This guy was terrible. I felt he didn't even want to deal with me so he just kept making excuses. I have filed a complaint with the ADA and have left several reviews on them. Please go else where if traveling with a service animal. No one should ever feel useless when having a disability that is out of your control.

Hotel sits a bit off the road so it's easy to drive by if you're not following your map. Very nice quiet stay. excellent staff. Very reasonable rate compared to others in the area. Room was clean everything worked as expected although TV signal was not the best. avg breakfast for HI express

This hotel is spotlessly clean with friendly staff, i was a bit disappointed that our room wasn't cleaned when we went out for the day. Perhaps they are still using covid rules. Our room was very comfortably furnished. The hotel is ideally situated for a visit to the Houston Space Centre which we visited whilst staying. My main disappointment was the coffee. Impressive Pod machine in the room and coffee available 24/7 in the lobby, it was all dreadful very bitter and tasted like chicory rather than coffee.
