Encore Rooms

Checking in was easy, this was done over the phone because this property isn’t staffed. There was a problem with a couple who was arguing and shouting until 2am the police attended. I rang the mobile number twice but no one will pick up. The next day I spoke to Chris who answered the phone he didn’t care about the problems. Encore rooms also manage Crosgrove Bed & Breakfast.

Discusiting hotel treatment they asked me to leave just for leaving a pie in the oven it didn't even set the fire alarms of or cause a fire and they knocked on my door on a Friday on my payday to ask me to leave I was a good paying guest they ended up leaving me on the streets to get injected with needles and my stuff got stolen clothes and bags and they lied and said you were seen leaving with them I'm missing a lot of valuables I would never stay here again the staff are so rude and don't understand autism one bit very poor hotel experience do not book their are better hotels than this one avoid Cosgrove aswell they are owned by the same people and the dreaded Kirk's corner and that's why they kicked me out because they had a problem with me from their they should be offering compensation for the treatment they gave me they don't care about mental health homelessness as long as they have money but they have stopped making the money of me they were making I would never stay here again avoid at all costs it's not as nice as what it seems

Very lovely hotel to stay at was greeted by biscuits hotel chocolate coffee and two lovely mugs the hotel could be sound proof a bit more and it could do with a comfy chair to sit on the computer chairs are a bit weak don't feel like they can take much wait the customer service is excellent they was quick to help me and the beds are very comfortable very clean nice building to live in love the chic walls and the laminate flooring all in all good experience

Wouldn't give a refund in April 2020 when we were told to Stay at home due to first Covid lock down. We had booked for 2 nights for a private function. They said *********** owed us the refund, *********** said Encore Rooms owed us the refund. Never got anywhere with them. Do not recommend FULL STOP.

ONWER NEVER LET ME IN... I did not even end up staying here....I arrived at 8pm (last check in stated online as 9.30pm) and tried to ring the owner for TWO HOURS and they never answered the phone to let me in. I contacted *********** (who I booked through) and they also could not get in contact with the property. I am a young woman and was left alone outside this property with no way of getting in! Still not had a reply or apology from the property. Property was hard to find- no light on or signs. Ended up staying at the Travelodge 1 mile down the road- 100% recommend this as alternative to encore rooms- late check in was available, safe parking and restaurants close by. DO NOT book encore rooms.

This is the worse place I have ever stayed as an adult! Firstly, there is no sign to indicate that the location is a hotel. There were no instructions you should call upon arriving, and if you had the number, sometimes the call was answered and sometimes not. There was no reception to deal with any questions or issues, such as calling a taxi or what to do with the key upon leaving. I arrived at 2230, it was dark and as a solo female, I did not feel comfortable outside or inside. When a person did arrive with a key to a room, they were on the phone and spoke to me as if I was a major inconvenience. There were no instructions or welcome - I was simply given a key and told my room was #2. This was then on the ground floor, which did not feel safe. There were no real blinds or curtains in the room, so it was possible for people to see into the room from the street. Also the windows were not sound proof, so could hear the boy racers and people walking by on the street, only a few metres away. The lock on the door, was a very simple turn knob lock, which is in no way secure. If I had a car, I would have immediately left and gone to the Travelodge, which sounded like heaven in comparison. The room appeared clean, but there was black mold in the shower. There was a kettle and mugs (possibly clean) in the room, but no tea or coffee or milk. Upon exploring, discovered there was a kitchen, I presume for visitors use, but it was disgusting, and I was not sure if this was available to me. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN.

The bedroom was poor bed was very low and cheap mattress. Bedding dirty. Kettle and cups in room but no tea or coffee. Fridge in room but has a towel in it. Rats scurring behind skirting boards all night making mess in the room. Bathroom has tatty floor mat and shower pours out from under unit. Toilet drips constantly. No one who lives in Scunthorpe had heard of the place. Will not be back here. Scunthorpe yes but B & B no
